A very beautiful memorial. Plenty of benches to sit and reflect on the past.

Great memorials for Ireland's history from the Great Famine (An Gorta Mor) 1845-1852), the 1916 Irish Rebellion to the just dedicated memorial to the 10 Hunger Strikers led by Bobby Sands during this present struggle for a united Ireland and freedom from British rule. Rhode Islanders played an important role in supporting independence and freedom in Ireland for generations.

Location by river. Benches bought by Irish organizations. Explains history of Irish famine and the Irish in Rhode island. Memorial to the Easter 1916 uprising. Memorial to the 1981 10 Irish Hunger Strikers. Located near river.
