Sandcastle Beachfront Inn, Westerly RI

The staff here is friendly and helpful and the location is great but the building is old and tired. The wall unit which was a combination AC and heater set the room smoke detector off at 2: 00 AM and not usable. The bathroom had a sign not to use the whirlpool tub as it leaks. Finally there was no place to hang your clothes in the old style wall units. The facility needs an renovation sooner rather than later.

Hotel has an awesome location directly beachfront, between a few eateries/bars. Rooms are clean and simple. Waves are very easy to hear w the windows open. Personally, I didn't need much, so I had no interaction w staff except to check in and out.

Was not very happy there asked for room on bottom floor becouse of my back but no they put me on second floor i booked 2 nights only stayed once all so the ac was leaking allmost fell staff had no clue when we asked for coffee in morning all there worried about was being on ther cell

Love this cozy inn, my mom brother & I stay every year. Clean place and the sunrises and sunsets are breath taking from the deck! We love it here!

This inn will always be a special place amazing workers nice rooms an a amazing beach view

As many mentioned it is outdated, but the beach view rooms are incredible to have that view!
Make sure you don’t forget your toiletries because the room only comes with small soap bars:) usually we bring our own but every so often I say “eh, we will just use the hotel stuff” I did ask the front desk and they helpfully have me some shampoo, but my daughter said “you should write that in the review so other people know”

Someone mentioned no microwaves, that doesn’t bother me personally, there is a fridge - which is great)
In my opinion this place is perfect for a RI staycation on the ocean front BYO toiletries ;)

Also, this private beach has a REALLY strong rip current, it may be the storm that just passed or the recent full moon but just beware:)

Usually love this place that is supposed to be family and couples friendly. Unfortunately, groups are booking rooms and hanging out outside making noise. Not only is it COVID but it's supposed to be a quiet place. Doesn't feel as relaxing this time.

Stayed at Sandcastle this week for a 3 night stay. You can’t beat the location. It was amazing how close to the beach we really were. Open our room door to the 2nd floor deck and what a view. WOW! Only had to go down a small flight of stairs to be on their private beach. Private beach was nice and not too crowded as only people staying at Sandcastle can use it. Didn’t mind that the room was small as being so close to the ocean definitely made up for it. It is within walking distance to many restaurants, bars and shops. Would highly recommend and would definitely return.

The inn is outdated, and the rooms need a remodel, but the view is unbeatable. My aunt was the first ever guest to stay at this inn and the treatment my mom recieves yearly is incredible. It was my first time and I was treated with the same respect. They love their regulars. Walk outside and your on the beach. Watch out for the Segalls little buggers.

Great close parking, close to food and gifts. A little pricey for parking at the beach but I'm disabled and need close parking. Also the parking fee includes the use of their private beach bathroom.

We've been return customers for 3 years now. The room is always clean thanks to Susana and Ashley at the front desk great! We'll be back!
