Thrift Store Savers reviews
15Just wondering WHY? WHY? & WHY? The CEO of Savers, Mr. Ken Alterman. If Savers Mission statement is "Because we believe that your pre-loved stuff has the power to change the world. As champions of reuse, we're committed to keeping one-of-a-kind finds out of landfills. We know that with every thrift purchase or decluttering drop-off, you're helping protect the planet and supporting your community. " We the customers appreciate what you are doing for our planet Mr. Alterman plus we also donate & shop @ Savers. Every visit at Savers we notice the price tags on ALL ITEMS ARE INCREASING instead of been affordable. Why CEO Mr. Ken Alterman WHY?
This place is GREAT for serveral different reasons. If you need something quick, like when I got a new job and needed to get multiple pairs of pants & shirts all the same color ASAP. Sure enough, within 10 minutes I had enough for a weeks worth of work and it cost me about $20. However, its ALSO great if you have LOTS of patience and some extra, EXTRA time to spare.because you can literally get lost in there for hours! There's just SO much stuff, SO many styles and sizes and such incredibly low prices. From clothes to books, jewelry to curtains, furniture to shoes. I can guarantee you will NOT leave empty handed! (In fact, I wish I had MORE hands while shopping at Savers so I could carry more stuff!). Oh, and of course, don't forget, anything that YOU no longer have use for can easily and conveniently be donated at the designated spot and there's always workers available to help you unload! So.why not drop off some things you don't want or need anymore and pick up a few new things YOU didn't even KNOW you needed (or wanted!)
You never know what you'll find but today I just had this feeling. Most of the toys I thought about getting from a website months ago actually ended up being there and intact. I love shopping here
Love all consignment stores. I always leave with a gem. Prices are going up but I still love the place.
If you want the hangers, please put a sign up. I do not work there so I would not know. Also if you want the hangers off, after I have left the register can someone give me assistance or a table? I only have 2 hands and no bags for the clothes? How do I take hangers off multiple things without putting my newly purchased items on the floor?
PLEASE PUT SIGNS UP.
Love this Savers and consistently find various goodies to take home; books, records, boardgames, picture frames, and clothes! My only complaint us they are REAL damn proud of their men's jeans - often times not being much cheaper than brand new jeans on sale or from outlet stores.
No more fitting rooms and prices are getting out of hand. These are DONATIONS you’re selling! Holes and stains on clothes
I love having unmasked employees stand so close you can feel their breath on your arms. Self serve registers and they still provide terrible customer service
Almost always find good stuff at any savers whenever I go. This time it was a couple things for work.
What happened to this place with the prices? I have taken many single moms and elderly individuals to shop for themselves and their family members for many years. The prices allowed them to purchase a variety of much needed items. Now the prices are outrageous! A sports bra for a teenage $15? That’s higher than the department store. You can get coupons for Macys and end up paying less for new items. This place provided things to lower income families for many years at affordable prices. Who do you have pricing these items. I saw dollar tree items for $4.00! Unbelievable! Savers needs to reassess what their mission is which was to get donations and sell them for a reasonable price. Not ok!
Raciast experience. The cashier yelled to my mother “don't steal” as she put and book back. Then she along with the manager laughed when my mother experienced. Horrible!
You can find gold at savers but the one problem I have is when they price something that is DONATED at 99.99 behind the glass. Besides that is cool.
Used the pandemic as an excuse to remove the fitting rooms so you can't try anything on anymore, their exchange policy is a hassle, and their prices are close to retail.
There's no reason to go to Savers over a locally owned consignment store with more curated options and fitting rooms like Urban Thread in Providence (super cute!), or a store that is actually a nonprofit benefiting the community (rather than a big for-profit corporation like Savers), like the Jonnycake Center stores.
Love this store but not sure why the prices are often about what you would pay for new.thrift lite
One in Mass clean, one in Providence trashed (it was the end of day). Prices in both were a little to high considering they get the stuff free.
