Clean, nice, friendly, informative. They are now able to give samples. Good parking, the area is perfect. More than enough parking, shopping galore, food from Starbucks, Banana Republic, Pinkberry to Avvio. Nice clean, safe day and night outdoor mall. Great for families to date nite. The gazebo and chairs are cute.

I just went to go in and although I have loved shopping here in the past they are making it so hard do to COVID. I went to walk in with a mask that I got from my job and they told me I couldn’t wear it! It tied around my head, I can’t wear the loops around my ears because I just got a piercing and it won’t heal if I do and I’ve been having ear infections and the loops bother my ears she told me that I could wear the whole neck one which doesn’t make any sense because the one I had on covered just as much as the regular masks do. It covered my nose mouth and the sides of my face because it tied around.nowhere else has a problem with it everywhere else is ok with it I shouldnt have gotten turned away.

Post CoViD: waer mask. No samples. No perfume samples or spraying. Limited customers at a time but still great service!

The managers in this store are an absolute disaster. If you’ve ever had a bad experience here I promise you it most likely came from one of them. The managers are all the older overweight women that 1) don’t know how to apply makeup and 2) don’t know how to talk to PAYING customers. I’m not a confrontational person, nor am I a rude person, but I will no longer purchase from this location and I used to be a frequent shopper here, spending at least $200 every time. Im not sure how one gets a job as a Sephora “manager” but I assume you just have to be extremely rude and condescending and apply makeup at a 5 year old level, at least that’s how it appears at this store. The rest of the crew are average at best, I’ve never met any there that is really amazing at makeup or really wow you in the customer service department. If anything, the cashiers are usually the most friendly so I will give credit there. The regional manager should really look at this store and the managers because they ruin this place. Providence place Sephora is WAY better and the employees are much more helpful and friendly. I have noticed they give their attention to white women and will always use their head sets and give side eyes when they see non-whites. Absolutely disgraceful management and customer service. I cannot wait until this place closes down and the heifers have to find work elsewhere, good luck with that kind of skill set and attitude.

While the selection of products at this location is fantastic, It’s been hit or miss in terms of service. Some days I get really helpful associates who help me leave the store with way more product than I need. Other times I’m standing in a corner waiting for an associate to help me for 10 minutes before I just decide to leave. The times when I get helped are when I’m definitely dressed for work. When I come in dressed in leggings and a sweatshirt, I’m more likely to be ignored. I don’t want to paint all of their associates this way but it is a pattern I have noticed.

Never judge a book by its cover! Stopped in with my daughter to purchase us both that shampoo and conditioner we both love. As we walked in deciding to look around to find some make up we may like. I planned on spending between $200 to $300 but left without spending a cent. Don’t walk in with jeans and a sweatshirt. They will make you feel like your going to steal. I’m all set with that place. I now buy Younique and shop at Ulta. This poor customer service will cause the Buisness to fail in the long run. Oh well

I got my makeup done for New Years Eve at this location. I was blown away by Andrea's smokey eye, it was spot on and exactly what I envisioned! Thank you so much Andrea!

I just left this store. They treat anyone who is not colored like royalty. I literally spent 15 minutes in this store roaming around and no one approached me. 5 other people that came after me were greeted and helped immediately. I asked for a sample with products on hand so it’s not like I went there for samples and I was looked at like I was a nuisance. I went to pay at the register & this is like the 15th time in this specific store that I hear them ask the person ahead of me for their email to pull up their insider account yet I’m never asked. I literally always have to ask them to pull it (my insider account) up and they look at me like I’m annoying them.

I am deaf, coming here nervous was intimidating because I read the reviews about the “stuck up” employees. However, my last visit was probably the best service I’ve ever gotten. A lady helped me and she knew how to sign. It was such a relief that someone that works there can communicate with me. Thank you Sephora Garden City

I love SEPHORA! They have great makeup and perfume! Even though I LOVE SEPHORA I don’t love the prices. SEPHORA can be VERY expensive and when I say “VERY” I mean like some makeup can cost up to $100.00! Is it just me or is that VERY expensive?

Came to buy a few things, i lost my card same day so i have a temporary debit cardone they wouldnt accept it cus it didnt have my name i also had my id.i came from Pawtucket because i liked coming here and im a vib rouge not saying i should slide but i had a baby as well so i had to waste my time taking out cash

Went there a few weeks ago and I was being followed around like a criminal and kept getting rude looks. So I left and spent my money elsewhere.

Shame on the clientele and some of their reviews! If you're going to be shady, then I'm pretty sure the staff is going to give you extra attention; it the logical thing to do. Who goes through the drawers for the makeup they need?
I have gone in with both makeup and without makeup and I have never had a difference in treatment. The consultants were always helpful, when they weren't swamped, and always took the extra time to answer my questions. I've have a few incidents where I didn't get help because they just were too busy but otherwise don't have any real issues.
Cashiers sometimes look like they've had better days but most of them still take the time to give you proper treatment despite that. If you expect more than what is humanly possible then you should totally work in retail and give it a try!
Just because you flash your red card doesn't mean you get extra special treatment. They likely can accommodate most things but they aren't your slaves.

The store itself is beautiful and organized. I have had some encounters with AMAZING and helpful employees, especially in skincare, and they certainly have some great employees at the Garden City Sephora. But, the exceptionally horrible employees have made me feel compelled to write this review. There is a woman I believe is a manager, she has curly blonde hair and is not a typical sales associate, she looks about 40 years old. Today she caused me to feel uncomfortable to the point where I left without buying the items I wanted. As I checked out new merchandise in the front of the store, I watched her stand at the front door like a bodygaurd, giving people dirty looks including myself and her incessant staring made me feel uncomfortable. Every time I go to this store she consrantly does this, and makes many others feel uncomfortable and unwanted as well. It's as if she's treating the customers like criminals and I don't feel comfortable going back to that store anymore after one too many of these encounters. Many of the other employees I've met seem very judgmental and unapproachable and do the same "dirty look" thing, but that woman is certainly the worst.

Honestly I will never go to this store again and consistently order online. The staff ignored me while I walked through the place. The only reason why I went there is because Kat Von D's line is exclusive to them. I got glanced at by FIVE staff members on the floor with out being greeted and even the cashier could barely take the time to address me from her over painted lips. Everyone in the store the patrons as well were down right snotty. I have not had a shopping experience like this in EVER.

Well, I was afraid to go to this store with all the bad reviews. However, I had a great experience there. Greeted with a nice hello upon entering the store. I asked a sales associate (Abby) for assistance. She was as nice as could be. She helped me pick out some new makeup. Even though another customer was waiting for her, I did not feel rushed. After deciding on my purchase, I proceeded to checkout. Once again the sales associate was very nice. Upon leaving I was greeted with "good bye and have a nice day". I originally went to the one at JC Penney, Warwick where the 2 associates WERE rude and did not want to help me even though there was no one else in the store. I will be going back to the one in Garden City in the future. Well, I went back today to return the lipstick without a problem. However, I wanted help to look for a different lipstick and all associates were busy with customers. I started to get upset. I think they might need more help. Because they take makeup back, I just picked one out myself.

Seriously? The people who're rating this store 1 star need to get their entitled heads out of their butts. Holy shhh. This store is awesome and the employees are nothing but kind. I've been here 2-3 times a week for the past year so I can give you a more honest and first hand review. I love this store, it's clean, organized, and comfortable to shop in. The employees are super friendly and helpful.
