Silver Spoon Bakery, East Greenwich RI

We used Silver Spoon Bakery for our wedding cake and dessert table and everything was wonderful! We hardly had any dessert left because everyone loved the treats so much. Our cake was the triple salted caramel flavor and a smaller three tier cake that only served about 40 people and then we got about 2 mini desserts per person, which everyone loved and included chocolate mousse parfaits, mini apple pies, mini cheesecake bites, mini fruit tarts and then mini assorted cupcakes. The whole team was wonderful to work with and we were impressed with their design work and pricing for everything. They even accommodated a gluten free guest we had so she could feel just as included in dessert with her own GF triple salted caramel cupcake at her seat. Great job team!

Chocolate naked cake with Vanilla bean filling with fresh sliced strawberries was absolutely amazing! Customer service was awesome and greatly appreciated.

Love this place! Their cupcakes are certainly the best around. They also have a bunch of other treats that are super yummy! Customer service is always good when I stop by. I often get special orders here and have never been disappointed!

Gluten free cake was atrocious. Dry, turned into tiny crumbs when touched, zero flavor, and inedible. I let the cake come to room temp.for maybe 3 hours. Was told it apparently needed to be sitting out ALL day, but I swear that wasn’t going to make it any better. Didn’t appreciate the excuse. The whole recipe should be fixed honestly. The decoration was gorgeous and I was quickly given a refund which was much appreciated.

Starting with the positive, the cupcakes are outstanding with that being said, there is something to say for professionalism. I have been getting cupcakes for my children’s birthdays at this bakery for several years. I was visiting the bakery to place an order and we purchased cupcakes while placing the order. One of my kids tripped on the flooring while trying to navigate out of the small room and dropped the cupcake. Instead of the cashier recognizing that they were trying to navigate a small space while other people were coming in and giving them another cupcake they made me purchase one despite having paid well over $100 for an order of cupcakes. Several months ago we had a medical emergency the day of one of my children’s parties. We called to notify them that we were in the ER and we would not be able to pick up the cupcakes. Their primary concern was repeatedly asking when somebody would pick up the cupcakes. I sent correspondence to the owner of the bakery specifically stating the concerns, and I never received a response.having a good product is one thing, but you need to have the professionalism and superior customer service to back up that product. Sadly, this is something that seems to have gone by the wayside with this business. Based on this they will never have our business again I can assure you, everyone that was supposed to attend the party was notified of how unprofessional this business handled a very serious situation for our family.

Pricey but there the only other place that has cake pops that I know of aside from Starbucks lol, they make everythingggg by hand and also have a cute little area to enjoy everything it’s a very nice place I must say and the girl who helped me was super friendly and knowledgeable I would definitely recommend stopping by and saying hi! Try the cake pops and cupcakes!

We used Silver Spoon for our wedding cake this past August 2023. Lynne was awesome to work with the whole process- our cake tasting was great and she truly can make you anything you can want/imagine. When we weren’t sold on 1 of the flavors for the tasting, she gave us a cupcake she had in the shop to taste of another flavor (which nailed it!) free of charge. I (as well as my Aunt/Grandmother) am a HARSH critic on cakes as my family bakes a ton, but her cakes are incredible. The wedding cake got absolutely stellar reviews from EVERY single guest - almost every guest had a piece because they had heard it was so good! We were able to choose 3 flavors and every one was awesome. The cake also was beautiful and exactly what we had wanted. Lynne was organized, on time, and professional (really nice too!). We also felt her prices were very reasonable! Highly recommend silver spoon for your wedding cake needs!

Always a go to place if I'm invited to someone's house for dinner and don't know what to bring. Their cupcakes are delicious and not only that but they have some great variety. Love it each time.

It's a neat old Georgian house and the inside doesn't disappoint. Its like they were going for Duck and Bunny esthetic. Haven't had any muffins I didn't like.
Decor is a LITTLE kitchy, but nice.

Their cupcakes and macarons are such a treat! A variety of flavors and they look great too.

A few of us went and decided to order four different cupcakes to give different flavors a shot. The red velvet was my favorite. All of the cupcakes were crumbling and also tasted stale / like they've been sitting in their fridge for days. I love macarons, so I ordered a half-dozen, and the shells tasted stale as well. The flavors are good, though!

We worked with silver spoon bakery for a cake for our wedding day. Lynne was so wonderful to work with and helped us in any way she could. She even offered to make some cupcakes on the side to allow our guests with allergies to have dessert! The cake tasted amazing, and it was so beautiful and exactly what we were looking for. We had so much fun going to the store and having our cake tasting, we even found ourselves stopping in for coffee/dessert just for fun throughout the wedding planning process because the shop and employees are so welcoming and the dessert was always delicious! We can’t wait to continue to go to Lynne for all of our future cake/dessert needs.

This cake really tied in with my sons birthday party themes perfectly, everyone loved it! They so closely matched the inspiration photos i sent when designing the cake. It had one layer of vanilla and the other was funfetti and there was no funfetti left - i had to snag a chunk to bring home before the vanilla was all gone. We also had them make for us a cake for our cake smash which was the same theme and a cake for my mothers 50th which i can’t track down a photo off but was absolutely beautiful also. Thank you so much to our friends at silver spoon, you helped make an amazing night even more memorable!

On a recent visit to Greenwich I stopped at this bakery but prior to stopping I called to see what cupcake flavors they had. The young lady that answered the phone told me they have a lot of flavors. I was kind of taken aback by her response and when I walked in I told her that I would have appreciated it if she would have let me know what flavors they had because I wasn’t interested in any they had to offer at that time. I ended up buying a chocolate chip cookie that was really good and my niece and sister got cupcake’s that were two different flavors but had the same cake as a base and different flavors of filling. They were disappointed because they were expecting the cake itself to be that particular flavor. I also felt that she could have been a tad bit nicer. My overall experience from the time I called until the time I walked out the door to leave was not great.

Fast forward a few months and my brother goes to this bakery for Mother’s Day cupcakes due to a coworker referral. He purchased $60 worth of cupcakes and once again they all had the same base cake and different fillings quite a disappointment and again the cupcakes were just ok. My sister in law told him about our previous experience there and how unwelcoming they were and wouldn’t you know it, he said he had the exact same experience. That let me know that I was right in feeling the way I did. Smh. Sadly we will never visit that bakery again. Customer service is key in this day and age and it is very important that every customer is treated with respect and feel welcomed when they come through your door. Unfortunately they haven’t learned that yet!

The cupcakes were delicious, location was cute, and customer service was phenomenal! I definitely recommend!
