Smith-Appleby House reviews
7Today was pirate fest at this beautiful museum. The kids had a blast. Everyone was so friendly and knowledgeable about the homes history. It had reinactor pirates, a treasure hunt, crafts, hats, games, tattoos and on the house tour they were cooking fish. Fresh strawberries and bread were also served. Remarkable five stars.
Pretty place but the rudeness I was treated with made it an ugly visit. Won't be returning.
What an excellent experience. The house is incredible seems a place that old and how they keep it as it was when it got to build.
I would recommend it.
The Smith Appleby house museum Is a hidden treasure. After countless hours of searching for a rustic Venue for our wedding ceremony we came across the museum. In a few mins I knew it was the best fit for us. Within 24 hours I had an email from the president and my wedding date was saved in the book. Deb was amazing. Her customer service and dedication was beyond excellent. If you are looking for a beautiful rustic venue with amazing photography opportunities this is your place.
We are so thankful for all of the volunteers that helped us make our wedding day the most amazing day ever.
Amazing place. Beautiful setting! Warm and hospitable establishment that I look forward to visiting again! Can't say enough about how serene and calming it is.
The beautiful calming landscape of Smith-Appleby Homestead is the perfect place for meditation, contemplation or a quiet stroll. Guided tours of the museum are offered and recommend, but whether Smith-Appleby House is open or closed, the enchanting waterfront grounds filled with flowering plants, wetland pathways and a babbling brook is always a pleasure to explore. ~Ron Ash
