STAR NAILS AND SPA EAST GREENWICH, Main St

I have been going to this salon for about six months. I always request Lee to do my nails.she is wonderful. At my last appointment about two weeks ago, I was told when I arrived that Lee was not available (I had booked a gel mani and a pedicure with her three days prior.). The "receptionist" asked if I wanted to go to someone else and since I was going to a wedding the next day, I said yes. The gel mani lasted just over a week.
I booked my next appointment with Lee on Tuesday. When I arrived, the receptionist told me to pick a color; I assumed he knew who I was. About fifteen minutes later, another nail tech approached me to do my manicure. It wasn't Lee. He said she was off today. When I asked why I wasn't called to tell me she wasn't available, he said, " I didn't know I was supposed to call you". He then said, "Oh, I did call you on Monday. " Impossible to do so since I only made the appointment on Tuesday. Will not be returning to this salon. I will miss Lee but the service at the front desk was unacceptable.

I have been going to Star Nails and Spa for years when I’m in RI. They are clean and professional and have always done an excellent job on my nails. I recently went there and got my nails done. When I went to pay I usually leave a gratuity for the technicians. This time the guy at the desk said they don’t accept credit card gratuity and I didn’t have cash on me. I offered to pay more for the service and then they could take it out of that but he said they couldn’t do that so I apologized for not being able to leave one and left. (Other salons offered the opportunity to leave a cc gratuity). Anyways a couple of hours later I got a phone call from the salon asking me if I was going to come back and bring with me the gratuity! I was floored! I had received a text message as well stating that I had 400 points towards getting a discount but that was never offered to me when I went to pay for my service. The guy on the phone said I’d get $10 off for 200 points however you accrue a point per dollar that’s spent (I paid $83 and got 83 points via what the text showed me). He then changed what he said and I’d only be able to use the points once it hit 400 points. After this terrible experience I have completely lost respect for their establishment in East Greenwich. It’s a shame they don’t share the same love and respect towards their paying customers as we do as customers. I loved my nail techs there and I’ll miss their expertise. But I have never felt more insulted and disrespected as I did after this service. And someone should report them for their point system because it’s completely out of whack. Do better Star Nails. Do better than this. Or you will continue to lose customers.

All went well until I was ready to pay. I booked online for a gel pedicure (#211 $50) and gel manicure (#111 $35). I was told I owed $110. That didn’t seem right and I asked why. They said the gel pedicure was $20 extra. THAT STILL DOESNT ADD UP! I am unconfrontational so I left and checked the math and my online booking and I am convinced I was over charged by $25!

My boyfriend made a reservation for us a week ahead of time. At the time, he was told by technicians that we can request cruelty free products during the time of our treatment, and that they are available at all times for clients. We recently went to our appointment to find out absolutely NOTHING used is cruelty free, the main desk was also extremely unhelpful and dismissive.
So thanks, "star nails & spa" for absolutely wasting half of my birthday

I don't usually write negative reviews, but the manager was so unprofessional that I wanted to give others a heads up. I had an appointment booked in advance for myself and my daughter for her birthday. 4 hours before our appointment he called to let me know they could not honor our appointment. I expressed my disappointed and the manager said, "ok cool" and hung up on me. I'm not sure if there is new ownership here, but over this past year the services we've had were not as good as they use to be and their customer service today was extremely poor. I will gladly support a different local nail salon going forward.

I had been a loyal customer of Star Nails for years, going monthly to get a pedicure and twice a month all summer for a Dazzle Dry Manicure. The services were always very good. I made appointments for my daughter and I to have manicures and pedicures two weeks in advance of our vacation. When I showed up at the nail salon I was told that I wasn't on the list. After showing them my confirmation email (I had booked through the online system) I was again told I wasn't on the list and that they were full for the day. They did not try to make it right, they did not offer to squeeze us in, they did not even acknowledge any error on their part. I asked if I could go to another location and the response was simply, "They are probably booked too. " They did not even offer to call the other salons to check availability. It was infuriating. Your actions have lost you this very loyal customer.

Always a good experience here. Open on Sundays. More expensive than other area salons but worth it, very professional and clean.

Expert nail tecs. Massage included in their services. Beautiful atmosphere and very nice staff. Earn points with every service. I received $40.00 off last time. They always have a monthly pedicure with wonderful scents. Best salon in East Greenwich.

I went to this location with my mom. I had tips put. My nails turned out lumpy, and shaped weirdly and I’m overall disappointed with this experience. I feel terrible for writing a bad review but I paid $90 for something that turned out very poorly. The staff was lovely and pleasant and the workplace was very clean and organized.

The best nail spa I've ever been to. My cousin brought me here while on vacation visiting. She said it's a must and it is. So clean and wonderful staff that pampers you.

Took my daughter to get her nails done before her first dance. Supposed to be an enjoyable and relaxing experience but this business still has plastic hanging in front of and next to you making it uncomfortable and difficult to communicate. Business still requires all employees and customers to wear masks. Covid vaccines have been available to everyone for months and should consider incentivizing their employees to get the vaccine if that is the reason they are unable to lift expired safety rules.

Very clean and organized. Used to be better. They don’t do acrylics and always pretty pushy also expensive for effort put it and quality.

I DO NOT recommend the prince mani/pedi. They advertise thirty minutes service for $30 and my prince was only there for 11 minutes and I was still charged for the full 30 min service. I was NOT a happy customer and I did NOT have a happy prince. My prince will not be back.

Is this place under new management? I have been going for the past year and today my experience was completely different. I had an appointment for two and when we got there they said they couldn’t do it so we left and went somewhere else.

Loved the pedicure I got and the neck massage I will be coming back and recommending it to everyone

My girlfriend and I went there, and had pedis done, I did the milk and honey and she did green tea and it was wonderful! They're so clean and following covid guidelines! Definitely go there my toesies came out so good!

Linda does a great job. My nails look so pretty. I get so many compliments. The overlay is nice and natural looking versus the acrylic. It's supposed to be more healthy for your nails too. The location is safe and clean. I like that they send you text reminders for your appointment, and the staff is friendly.
