Lamb and chicken masala were delicious and the tandoori too! The naan and rice were so good. Definitely recommend

Awesome little place. Not super busy for lunch during the week. Staff are really friendly, food comes out pretty fast. Good if your downtown and don't want to spend a ton and fight or pay to park

This place is one of my favorites! Service is great, everyone seems to work together for the best customer service possible!

I ordered chicken masala and ginger chai tea one of the most popular lunch specials. The food at first was served colder than Luke warm…however my server, Veronica was able to bring it back to the kitchen to be reheated. Props to the Chef/Cook for serving my food twice, 2nd time it was quite delicious! White basmati rice, served with the chicken masala, side of soup & a delicious desert of rice pudding. A very nice combination and proportion size.

Thanks to my server, Veronica for a wonderful dining in experience on this cold rainy day. She was very busy and still able to accommodate, serve us all without missing a beat! I appreciate your way of being.

This restaurant is homey and welcoming to gatherings of friends with family. The booths are a decent size, yet the lighting makes one feel extra cozy. Being homesick, the ambience and energy of this place is exactly what I needed. Blessing of much prosperity and abundance to all of the staff that adds such flavors to our palette! Next time I will try to remember to take photos…once plate was put before me, the aromas distracted my every existence. Happy Holidays to anyone who is reading this!

Not good Indian food at all. I’ve been to many places and this by far is the worst. The only somewhat decent thing about it was the mango lassi. Theres by far better indian restaurants in providence

The service and the atmosphere aren't the best, but the food is so amazing! It makes up for any shortcomings.

This treated like what I would consider the American version of Indian food. Flavors are not authentic. Could use much improvement.

I love love LOVE this place. Everything I've had there is soooo good. The staff are so nice and I like the coziness of the restaurant. We frequented the lunch buffet regularly pre-Covid and now do mostly carryout. Everything has always been on point. Highly recommend.

The best Indian we've had in Providence!

We travel often and rarely find such good flavor especially on the southern Indian dishes.

We ordered ahead and there was a mistake with the order, but they were able to rapidly fix it. I appreciate when a place isn't always perfect but is able to make it right. We'll be going back for sure. You'll be missing out if you don't try this place.

Mustafa’s hands on style of service literally changed my life for the better. As an aspiring waitstaff he gave me the blueprint for standards to live up to. Waiters around the world should aspire to be 1/8 of Mustafa’s level of excellence.

This restaurant does not make good vegetarian dishes. The dal tadka was got was full of salt, and the mutur paneer didn't taste anywhere near good. Even the appetizer papad they brought us for soggy and tasteless. The only good thing about the restaurant is the waiter and their service. The waiter even told us we didnt need to tip when we were leaving. They really need to improve their dish standards. Not coming back again. I would recommend changing the name of the restaurant as this is definitely not the ''Taste of India''. The branch needs to improve their standards.

Taste of India is a gem of a neighborhood restaurant - hands down the best Indian food in Providence! Their cooking is so flavorful, from the korma to the butter chicken to the palak paneer.

The worst Indian food I have ever had. Placed a large UberEats order- the saag paneer was so salty it was inedible; the paneer was like rubber; the onion kulcha a was a soggy mess; the Tikka masala, chicken patia, and paneer makhani were incredibly greasy and bland- they a
was so greasy there was actually a layer of grease floating on the top of each dish. I am so disappointed and disgusted. The Indian restaurant we normally order from is a little ways away and not on UberEats so we figured we’d try this place. Never. Ever. Again.

I am new to this place and this is not at all a good restaurant for Indian food.
Food is very bland, spiceless, tasteless.

Their assorted tandoori dish is boiled chicken breast dipped in red and green colors with no salt, no spice, no masala.
The curd used for raitha was probably 5-6 days old and was tasting very bad.

Lamb biryani has literally 5 small pieces of lamb. Never ever in my life I have seen beans, corn and carrot in a lamb biryani.

Please change the "Lamb biryani" name to "Mixed veg curry rice with 5 lamb pieces"

I wish there was a way to get my 40$ back.

Had their buffet years ago. It's bland Indian food at a good price. Their food had zero spice. Go to any other Indian place (kabob and curry family of restaurants + jayas are my go tos, personally) in the Providence metro.

The food was tasty, but lacking some flavor and any heat. The big problem is that there was hardly any food…

I ordered chicken tikka masala and the container was all sauce with only a small handful of pieces of chicken. The same was true for my palak paneer, all sauce and literally six tiny pieces of paneer cubes.

Considering those are $16-$18 dishes, I’d expect to have received enough food in each to call it a meal, unfortunately that wasn’t the case. This was not the first time this has happened to us here recently and it’s disappointing, this is a restaurant we always loved going to and are rethinking doing so in the future.

Great apps and bread.

The cold Samosa Chaat appetizer was so good. ($8.95). The sauce was so tasty and their samosas were creamy under a bed of that sauce and chickpeas.

Their Vegetable Samosa app ($6.95) comes with two large, warm and creamy pieces. I also tried for the first time, Traditional Alu Parantha ($5.50). It's whole wheat bread filled with I believe Samosa filling and griddled with what tasted like ghee. Amazing!

Much better portions then their lunch menu. Last time I got their Chicken Korma lunch special and the amount of chicken they gave was disappointing. I got 3 regular sized cubes of chicken.
