Pub The Nest reviews
19Great little Irish bar with a terrific selection of beers. We were warmly welcomed on a cold day. We each got soup with warm rolls for only $5 each. I got a delicious kale soup with cerizo sausage and my wife loved her clam chowder. We would love to return when they have entertainment.
A nice cozy nook with great food, service and entertainment. While drinking a delicious Guinness and eating a hardy corned beef and cabbage on rye sandwich, we were entertained by a two man traditional Irish folk band called The Shenanigans. I felt like I was Ireland.
A not-so-hidden gem of Bristol. Atmosphere is relaxing, comfortable, yet engaging. Staff and service were genuinely friendly, appreciated, and more than accommodating; Impressive really. Irish food selection/innovation was a treat to try out and the quality exceeded our expectations. The only reason its not a perfect score is because of the wings. Wings tend to be my consistent critique at places like this. Flavor was good but they were just mushy. We missed the crunch form satisfying deep fried chicken. But don't get me wrong, we will be aback.multiple times.
Best corned beef I’ve ever had! It was a special (not on regular menu), but all other food has been amazing! Best hot toddy, too. Great service and atmosphere!
Geezer Central. Lots of old people hang here. Not for the young. The owners range from 60 to 90. Joe Biden would hang here is he could find the place. Small kitchen manages to get some decent food out. One bathroom and a lot of kitschy Irish trinkets. If they cared they would have shamrocks not four leaf clovers everywhere. Rookie mistake. Shows lack of tradition. The manager will try to sell you anything you will buy. The WORST session players I have ever had the misfortune to hear. Hoping it will bring in business it’s a band of randoms who play what they want when they want. No rhyme or reason. Old people telling the young bartenders to turn down the loud music.
Great atmosphere but service can be a 1 to 5 depending on who you get. Other times very kind. One very rude waitstaff who will make assumption and treat you terribly with no reason.
Great Irish pup. It has a small menu, but it is excellent. They had a Tuesday night special of corned beef and cabbage. It was the BEST I have had anywhere, including home!
We stopped in for a couple of drinks. Everyone was very friendly and the service was great.
Cozy little spot great for a date or karaoke night, can get a little rowdy sometimes but it’s all part of the fun and lively atmosphere, one of the best spots in Bristol for traditional Irish fare as well! Alex and Sean are the best!
Such a great spot in Bristol, truly brings character and life to State street. Service is impeccable and the ownership creates a welcoming and neighborly feel!
The bartender Sean is a friendly face and livens up the Bristol night life!
Showed up for music, but wasn't what I expected.and publican stood us a round. That just doesn't happen!
Great Irish pub in the center of Bristol. Live music and fun atmosphere. Say hello to Eddie.
Caesar salad, the nest salad with chicken and a Guinness were superb! Friendly staff and delightful outdoor seating!
Tessa, New girl behind the bar today. Did a great job, very attentive and friendly. Was there to watch the final games of the English Premier League soccer season and she made it a great experience. My go to Irish bar here in Bristol.
Amazing owner who knows how to be a charming host. This is the place I choose to be, not where I end up.
Went to see friends who were the entertainment that night, guitar and folks night. Service was ok, but our food order was forgotten. We waited over an hour with at least 2 tables served after we had ordered. We live in Bristol and were looking forward to a night out, major disappointed. Not overly crowded and we had to leave to to eat someplace else.
Not tried the food yet, but great pint of Guinness and friendly bar staff. Some Irish fella with glasses was banging out a few tunes on his guitar, not bad at all.
The drinks are good, not the food. Food program needs some serious work. Undercooked fries, raw avocado on the salad which said bacon, cucumber and cheese which were not present, underwhelming. Calamari was good. Owner touched every larger table except for our smaller table, otherwise I would say this to him and add a couple stars. Service is great. Give ‘em a few months to work it out.
Awesome new Irish bar in downtown Bristol excellent food from and staff. Good local crowd with plenty of TV screens to watch sports as well.
