The Salvation Army Thrift Store & Donation Center reviews
14I’ve frequented this location for years. I find that sometimes you can get a good furniture deal. I have purchased many things from this location. I find their electronic and jewelry items to be priced way off the mark. I don’t go to this location as much as I used to. I love thé staff but feel the pricing is off. Salvation Army is true to their mission which is always a good thing to support however. It’s hit or miss but you will be doing good by purchasing.
They changed this location to be effectively entirely clothing now and it’s absolutely terrible.
Tried visiting this place 3 times and it’s NEVER open during the advertised hours because the lazy employees lock store up and leave in the middle of their shifts.
My mom myself and a friend packed up her house a few yrs ago.my friend packed all my LV bsgs, napsak and weekender satchel. I had no clue until I looked for them. Not 1 person tried contacting me. Whoever found them (probably employees) must of thought they were fake, because WHO would give up a few thousand in bags.not me! Hope whoever kept them enjoyed them!
I'm here visiting from NY and of course I had to check out the local Salvation Army for some treasures. This place is huge, spacious and I was very impressed by how clean it is. Most salvation army stores/second hand stores are usually dusty and have a musty smell but it was pleasant in here. I appreciate that the home section is incredibly organized by color category. The staff is great and I left with a bag of gems. I will always visit whenever I'm in Rhode Island, it's a must! Thanks for the service!
Could not ask for more rude employees. Asked for assistance and was told to leave the store and go to another store, for asking a simple question.
Not much to choose from. Furniture is too high priced. Unfortunately this old building has no ac. It was too hot to shop there today
It's ok lots of clothes and furniture. Not sure if you are getting a deal. Seems a bit pricey for a thrift store.
Absolutely over priced and inconsistent. I used to come here to get things because it was affordable, now it's like they are eBay.
Nicely organized store. Color coordination of housewares. Neat and tidy for easy for perusing.
I used to consider this one of the best thrift spots in the area, so I stopped by last night after work around 6: 30, only to find the business closed. There's a paper on the door saying their hours are 10-5 now, even though posted hours online are 10-8.
Today, I went back in the middle of the day in order to shop during their new hours, only to find them closed again. This time, an employee sitting on the sidewalk outside said that they closed because the building doesn't have AC and they decided it was too hot for employees or customers.
So, employees got sent home and lost hours, customers are unable to shop, because the business won't provide AC, and there's still no professional communication/notification regarding what's going on.
I feel really bad for the employees who have to deal with this, this all seems like very unprofessional management of the business.
They have wheelchair access, the workers are attentive to client request of clothes and housewares sales. It's a safe driving distance of location.
Every time I go there the staff are yelling at the back fighting, the place is mostly pretty dirty and the clothing and stuff are either dirty or borken/ripped. Either way I always find cool things (lots of actually vintage stuff) and the prices are nice
This store often closes early. Call before going so you don’t waste a trip.
Good values, but they don’t take back defective items. You buy it, you own it, and if it’s broken, doesn’t fit, or DOA, you’re screwed. No return policy.
