READ THIS BEFORE COMING HERE!

The nurses here on floors 2,4 and 5 are not the greatest. My wife had an unplanned c-section which was a terrible experience but things happen. WenSat in labor for 27 hours. Our doctor was amazing who performed the C-SECTION. Absolutely NOBODY is on the same page here, these nurses don’t know if they’re coming or going for Christ sake. Different nurse everyday and we’ve been here for a week and none cleans their hands before touching your baby and things in the room. Extremely unsanitary practices here. CROSS-CONTAMINATION is massive here. If you come here take NOTES and remember what they’ve done and given to you and your baby because these nurses/doctor graduates will be wanting to double up on a lot of things. They wanted to double up on our babies circumcision, cardiac screen, metabolic screen and they’ll be late on your medication times by hours sometimes. ZERO management here and ZERO nurse to nurse communication from day to day. No nurse here wears masks properly during this pandemic and nurses are always touching and repositioning their dirty masks and face. Nurse will be touching /emptying our pee bucket than without washing hands They continue touching our BABY, computer key board, medication/pills, medical instruments and everything in your room and not ONCE did anyone ever clean any surface in our rooms for a whole week. I cleaned and wiped things down myself. I feel very dirty and feel like my wife and I and baby might catch COVID or get sick after being here. I’ll know who to blame, since my wife and I are extremely safe when it comes to COVID. Some nurses were openly asking us “why did you come here, there’s no management in this hospital “ and laughing about it. Made us feel Extremely uncomfortable. Good to bad Nurse /Doctor ratio is 10% good/90%bad. We did deal with 3-4 good nurses throughout all floors we were on for their short shifts. YOU WILL NOT SLEEP HERE! Baby or not. GOOD LUCK IF YOU COME HERE.

I'm actually suprised by the amount of negative reviews here. I had my first child here in May 2019, and it was literally the best experience I could've ever imagined. Also best hospital experience I've ever had in my life. Every single doctor, nurse, staff member I came in contact with was so nice to me. Always asking if I needed anything. They were just as nice and polite to my partner as well. We were going through a rough time, plus my birth and delivery was hectic and crazy. And they did everything they possibly could to make sure I was 100% comfortable at all times, prior to the birth and afterwards. They didn't rush me out of there after my c-section, I actually stayed for an extra couple days because I was still having some complications. I was in shock by how great of an experience I had there. Even the food was better than I expected. Now I'm pregnant with my second child, and will be giving birth there again. I couldn't imagine going anywhere else. Women and infants changed my life and my families life for the better.

Edit- I did have my second child in oct 2021, and my experience was somehow just as amazing as my first delivery. Another c-section. There were only a couple of the same nurses there, but all of the ones I didn't know were still so incredibly kind. I take a specific medication everyday at 5am. And they were in my room, 5am on the dot with my meds. They were so on point with everything. I don't think I got lucky both times. I think this an amazing hospital and I'm super grateful they helped me welcome both of my boys into this world.

My best experience in Emergency room, since I called for see which emergency room I can go was a good experience. When I arrived the service was immediately I didn't have to wait, all personal were wearing gloves and facemask. I went for ultrasound, they make me blood work, answer all my questions the treat was amazing. I can't remember their names, but thank you for everything.

Dr. Cronin and her entire team were phenomenal with my care. First time I ever had an IV that didn't hurt, first time I didn't puke my guts out after surgery. The entire staff was amazing and made me feel well taken care of. Dr. Cronin also answered all my questions and made sure to come see me before and after the surgery. Highly recommend especially for trans people looking for a good OBGYN.

I was originally supposed to have my son at south county hospital but because of my spleen enlargement I was told I needed to be seen by MFM doctors at W&I. I go to my first appointment to go over everything and instead of focusing on my spleen they tell me I have gestational hypertension over ONE blood pressure I tried to explain it was due to my anxiety because my OB at south county always had my blood and urine checked if it was high due to my ANXIETY my results always came back normal but I felt pressured into my induction which I was told would only be 4 days I ended up being induced for 7 days. The nurses were great they always took good care of me but the MFM doctors they never knew what they were doing it was always a different story.they failed the beginning of my induction so I had to start it all over because this time it was put in correctly so the induction process started happening until they told me they needed to stop because there was no open labor rooms like what? During my entire induction and labor my blood pressure was fine the whole reason I was sent here was because of my SPLEEN which they never even asked me about or checked on. They also broke my water and went past the mark they were supposed to without telling me and put me and my son at risk. It’s not the nurses they were so kind and when I did become anxious they were always helping me to calm down but those doctors just not right if you can avoid going here I would and if you do end up going here make sure you bring your own belongings because everything is disgusting.

A friend who has Covid has been completely ignored her whole post partum. Ignored lights. Over flowing garbage, no vital checks, no housekeeping, fund us checks or sugar checks or lactation consultant. NOTHING. She is basically there with a newborn and experiencing full blown neglect. Disgusting. Every bell ring has been ignored or dismissed. Including needing help to the bathroom following an epidural. Glad she didn’t bleed out. It would have taken the hospital hours and hours to have found her. Deplorable. I understand prevention of spreading a serious virus. But I also understand the definition of medical neglect, and we have a winner here.

Worst hospital ive ever been to. Id rather drive from RI to Boston where i know my pregnancy and I will be well cared for and listened to. My rating is zero. Not even a 1. This place Can never keep correct info or straight info on pacients. Every single time i go here (this was my 1st time in er here) i get told a new due date not even close to mine and info from what I assume is another persons chart bc its not mine. Lack of concern for pacients and their concerns which brought then in and their symptoms. Told me i wasnt even pregnant what was i doing there? (nurses exact words to me and fiance) as we look at each other in horror bc i know i am as it was confirmed 6 diff times. And at 2 other hospitals. But there was an "error" that my urine can back neg for pregnancy? Now, i have a strong history of miscarriage.what do u think that did to me? How do you think my mental health state was after that? I was a flipping mess. I had it all brushed off and dismissed as nothing. Doc dismissed all my symptoms I originally went in for and then refused to give any kind of reasoning for "error" or help clear my mind and give me an ultrasound/ dopplar to confirm i still was pregnant after they just told me i was not. And blatantly argued with me about easing my mind! Even after i sat there bawling my eyes out thinking I had yet another miscarriage. Not only that, that same urine showed pos+ for a uti/kidney infection (which i also have strong history of and is charted and asked about this time) and they never treated me for that or let me even kno i had it until 2 and a half weeks later! I never even saw the "doc" that caused all this turmoil after the fact b4 I was discharged 8 and a half hours later. Not even a cup of ice water or crackers for 8 n half hours. Even after going in for feeling deyhydrated and begging them for water, bc i finally felt thirsty n capable of even drinking. This was the worst hospital visit i have had in my life. And ive been to some of the worst inner city hospitals in boston. Id rate those hoapitals better than this one. And they most def have discrimination issues here at woman and infants also. Never felt so unheard about valid concerns of mine and my babies health.

If you have the option of going literally anywhere else- go there. My water broke 4 hours ago and I’ve been in active labor in the waiting room, “next” in line for a room the whole time. I would not recommend this hospital unless you have a planned delivery.

Out of every hospital I've been to, I've never met a nicer staff than here. They give you what you need, and they're so kind to you when you're nervous. The employees seem to get along well, which is nice to see in healthcare. Because of covid they're severely short staffed, but they still get you in as soon as they can.

Plan on working everyone’s shift. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift in the E. R.
Bring a book, a blanket, an ipad, and four course meal.
The worse! And I wasn’t even waiting for a room.

I just gave birth to my Son two days ago and My family and I were greatly taken care of by everyone who works here. I’d like to mention Patricia, she goes by “Trish” she works in the labor and delivery room. She took such great care of me, got me anything I needed and always made sure I was comfortable. Also I’d like to mention Monica. She was there for me when I first got to the hospital all the way to my last day when we were going home. Thankful for these women and everyone else who works at this hospital and risks their lives for us daily. My family cannot be more thankful. I had both of my children here and wouldn’t change a thing.
