Chester Golf Club reviews
16 Chester Golf Club is a hidden gem. The rates are affordable for a course in such great condition. It offers a challenging layout that increases in difficulty as you progress from the front side to the back nine so be sure to get your tee shot under control before making the turn. There is a 500 plus yard par 5 that will eat your lunch if you're not teady.
You can get ready at the driving range which also features a chipping area. The putting green is located just about 30 yards away on the other side of the pro shop.
The staff is friendly and helpful. The biggest plus is that you can play a quiet round with sirens and traffic noise like many of the city courses.
Limited food options in the small pro shop so get a good breakfast before headingto the course. The do have bottled water on the course at no charge. They also have plenty of free parking.
Looking forward to going back for a production team meeting/reset day.
Course was nice. Looked good, was a little dry, ball rolled forever. Greens were in nice shape, tee boxes were below average. Over all was decent, will return when grass is growing more.
A gem of a course tucked away off the less traveled path. Reasonably priced and worth the value. One of the better public courses in the area that offers challenging holes and great conditions. The greens are in excellent shape and are challenging for all skill levels.
Got Charged $112.00 dollars to play a round of Golf with my 12yr old daughter, asked about the Jr rate and was told sorry Jrs are charged full price on weekends. No problem paying for me and my kid, for a great round of Golf together, but its crazy to me that you would charge over 50 dollars for a child to play a round of golf. Shame cause the course is nice but we'll be playing elsewhere.bad policy
They've been doing work on the course and it shows. Greens are Bermuda fast with the grain, and the fairways are beautiful! Rough is tough, but that's Bermuda. All in all a beautiful course with a great layout that keeps getting better.
This is one of the best courses I’ve played in SC/NC area. A true hidden gem that was enjoyable, challenging and in immaculate conditions. The fairways were well manicured and forgivable. The greens were large and rolled really well. The staff was great and I would definitely recommend and play again!
Well I was surprised by the beauty of their Putting Green they are like Carpet with a gorgeous Landscape for 50 box is a pleasure and ppl was friendly like gentlemen.that's was my first time cause fare away for me but I'll go get some more for sure!
The course was not in bad shape at all. And even the greens were punched recently they still rolled good. Disappointed I didn't play the back nine the course was crowded and just got and hot humid at 130 pm
Really pretty course, some of the paths were really damaged and we were squeezed in pretty tight schedule wise. We were waiting on the people ahead of us the whole time and there were people waiting on us as well. I will go back for sure it was an overall good time!
Extremely nice course. Several tee boxes need some work, but the fairways and greens were awesome.
Nice layout and considering it is damp the course is in nice shape. The pace of play though is too slow. I am actually mid round and we are waiting on ever single shot. 5 holes to play and we are at over 3 hours of play time.
Great course. Greens are in good shape. Fairways and teeboxes are also in good shape. Especially for this time of year.
I thought the course was very well maintained and the staff was very professional and courteous
Great track, easily walkable. Unfortunately does not allow walking on weekend mornings. Played here many, many times and always have a good time and the course is usually in good/great shape.
Very impressive course among small town public courses. Well kept with some challenging holes, several requiring shots around or over water. Well worth adding to your SC golf tour. Friendly, helpful staff.
