Club Wyndham Grand Palms, Surfside Beach SC

The rooms were clean and all that you needed to stay there an extended amount of time. Customer service was very good. The area within the compound is hard to navigate at night but security is there to help you.

You can not just go to your time share destination with Wyndham. You end up in a sales pitch session, disguised as an owner update. Then, if you don't want the extra time, they urge you to buy, the sales managers become rude, arrogant, and treat you as if you are stupid for not wanting to jump on their offer! I have Hilton property and have never experienced this behavior.

The construction in the area resulted in views directly into homes being built. From the balcony, we could see cement pads and into the backyard of existing homes.

Everything was awesome except the tub shower was too high with glass doors it was so hard for 63yr old to get into tub to take shower or bath. Need take out glass so older people can try to climb in. To bath it's not age friendly. Need walk in type tub.

This is a time share resort, owned and operated by Wyndam vacations. It is the worst property, with Wyndam, where we have stayed.
My reasons for feeling this way are: first we have a studio room we booked. This was because we knew it would be only the two of us. But, we did expect certain features in a room where we would stay for a week, such as a refrigerator.one bigger than a college dorm model, a range top instead of a hot plate, and a closet.
But even these things, ad annoying as they were, was not the icing on the cake. When we checked in, we were cued to another line, where we were given our parking pass and map of the property. There, they ask you which meeting you would like to go to for your owner's update. This is such a scam. For participating, they give you dinner vouchers. Great. But the catch is that you sit with pushy salespeople for 90 plus minutes, with them trying to sell you more points. And then, when you decline their offers, they insinuate that you are stupid for not already agreed to
their offers. No, thank you. This property is old. Wyndam people say they are upgrading, but the process is slow because of previous owners of the property. Okay. They don't want to convert to the point system. Move on. If it is still a Wyndham property, get the remodels and upgrades done regarless.

Besides the normal pushy sales pitch, the trip was good. Nice family location with pools and other on site features.

I've been coming to this property since before it was a Club Wyndham property and Club Wyndham had been making improvements and upgrading the units.

The property has lots to do on property with 3 outdoor pools, 1 indoor pool, a spa with massage, fitness center, game room, putting green, playground, and activities.

They have a shuttle that runs to the beach. The front office will show you the schedule. The shuttle fires right to the beach. Wear your sunscreen. Bring some water.

The units have basic kitchens stocked with a few pots, pans, pastes, etc. If you're planning to do a lot of cooking, why are you on vacation? They also have small washer/dryer units.

Depending on the kind of unit you are in, you might have a master suite with a jacuzzi bathtub. Do make use of this! The beds are tall in some units.

I'll be back again next year. With friends. And stools for the beds!

Great place to stay and very convient. The pools for adults and children are exceptional. The service and the people are great.

This is truly a kid friendly resort! From the kiddie pool area to the game room you will have many things to do without spending any additional money. They even have a poolside restaurant if you want the convenience of being poolside all day long. We were pleasantly surprised! We will be coming back year after year.

Lovely condo with nice amenities (a/c, laundry, equipped kitchen, broom for sand!), clean. Hourly shuttle to the beach. Other guests were all families at end of July. Low-key, friendly, quiet, chill. Great vibe.

The pool and lazy river were far enough that we never even checked them out. This place is huge and has a ton of surface parking, so it’s really spread out. We didn’t care. We were having so much fun at the beach.

One of us were sad that there’s no way you can see the beach from here.

Wifi was slow but free.

Good location in Surfside, with shopping and beaches nearby. The units are updated and well maintained. Looking forward to visiting again.

Alright so i’ve not even been in the area for 2 hours, and i’ve already experienced something horrible, we (3 children, 2 adults) got to our room and it was a connecting room and the door to the other side of our room was locked, the AC was broken and wouldn’t go below 75°, and when we checked in Donna offered discount priced for pirates voyage, we declined all times because they were inconvenient for us, but Donna had already swiped our card and we’ve lost $255, Donna has been rude and we’ve called 2 times and went in person to see and all she had to say to the adult was, “well you’re not getting your money tonight. ” and has not given any farther information on our situation, we’ve called management, and Taylor was the best, Taylor listened to our problem and came back and gave us information on our situation and helped us resolve it, thank you Taylor, Because of Taylor and Taylor alone for putting in effort to help us, I feel sad putting a low review but aside from Taylor I do not believe i would return here, especially if Donna is the one handling my funds. (Edit) Okay so it’s the next day and Taylor had spoken to her manager’s manager, Doug, and he had told Taylor that our money would be returned back to our account by THIS morning at 8am. Today is sunday and we have not received our $255 dollars back, we called again and we were told that accounting people don’t work on the weekends. We are leaving Monday morning at 10 am, and If we have not received our money by the time we leave, (we needed it today because we’re going back to school shopping for the kids) we are going to go to the checkin area, and we will remain there until we’ve received our money, this is completely unacceptable and not okay. If i could give the customer service negative stars, i would because this by far the worst experience i’ve had in my life. (another edit) Today is monday, and we’re checking out today at 10 am, And we’ve yet to receive our money back, I feel like a little kid who got scammed, If they do not give us our money back by the end of this week, I will call my bank and report fraud, and theift. Honestly don’t bother coming here, the service is terrible and they keep brushing us off. Honestly I entirely blame Donna, She should be fired.

Doing vacation. Enjoyed the quietness. The family enjoyed the quick access to the beach, stores and restaurants. The employees work at making the visitors are comfortable and get to where they need to be. Thank you for looking out for us.

My family had a great week long experience here. The facilities are nice although some may consider it outdated. I found it to meet all of our needs and it's was a great value. The facilities are loaded with a steam room, sauna, outdoor pool, indoor pool, mini arcade, ping pong table, and pool table. They give recreation passes which save a large family around $50 for a visit to the beach. The kitchen was fine and they had all the pots pans you'll need for simple meals. Be sure to bring your own seasonings.

First visit to the Plantation. Nice quiet location. Very nice rooms. A great plus for Wyndham!

The workers aren’t there when you actually need them which was kinda disappointing but the rooms were comfortable and nice

We had a great time. Beach wasn't far and resort had plenty for the little ones to do. Lazy river, hot tubs, large pool and little ones play area and pool were all very clean.

Nice two bedrooms two baths. Full kitchen. Helpful concierge! Waited over an hour for room, but staff apologized. Went to presentation for discounts. Experience, cringeworthy.
