Cornerstone Masonry, Walhalla SC

This is not a review about Cornerstone Masonry but rather their head masons they use. Mr. Grant with Cornerstone Mason did not want to travel an hour away to do our work so he gave us the phone numbers of his two head masons, Israel and Julio Garcia. We hired them to build a fireplace to look exactly like one they had built before and we had a picture to go by. The fireplace was supposed to taper going up but they did not taper ours. We could not see that they did not taper the fireplace until it was done because of all the scaffolding in the way of our view. We had wrote their checks and paid in full before we saw the finished result of our fireplace. Julio Garcia said he would meet us the next day at 2: 00 to discuss fixing our fireplace and instead he went and cashed our checks and has not answered his phone since. Israel Garcia did answer his phone and said he would call us back and never has. The character of these two men is something you should be aware of. We carried this picture of this fireplace around for 2 years and thought because these men actually built the fireplace that they would rebuild it for us. This is what they told us they would do when we hired them. They built something totally different, took our money and will not fix the problem or even answer our calls. Beware!
If they fix our fireplace I will be glad to amend this review. Again this is not a review about Cornerstone Masonry.
