2 Fat Guys Automotive & Fleet Service reviews
6Shop was helpful and they did what they said they would do, when they said they would do it. For the price quoted
Not the shop I thought it was. Kept the jeep for weeks waiting on parts it didnt need. Also promised an hd 44 front axle and my insurance was billed for the cost of the hd axle, but we got the stock axle with the tag conveniently torn off. Also ran my battery down until it killed it and then acted like they did me a favor by replacing it. If you want a rockcrawler this may be the place, but for anything else, ANY other shop would be a better choice.
These are my jeep and vehicle specialist! Respectful, honest, hospitable, and always professional! They take the time to educate breaking down any process. Their family in all since and I can always leave our vehicles with confidence!
When I made a phone call, a young girl answer the phone, and when I asked her a few questions that she didn’t know she gave me the phone to another lady and then I asked that lady a few questions that she was very unfamiliar with. They wrote my number down to call me back with the answer or three weeks later, after not hearing from them, I called them back to inquire on the previous question and the young lady answered the phone to explain what happened last time she chuckled and latitude. Oh that’s my mother. What are you gonna do about it. Father got on the phone and was very rude and disrespectful as well. His family seems to have forgotten where they came from would not recommend this business due to other peoples opinion as well
I've been going to 2 Fat Guys for a few years now. I've taken 5 five different Jeeps here for a wide range of services from complete mechanical restoration to routine maintenance. They have serviced my 1986 and 1991 Grand Wagoneers, my 2006 XK Commander, my 2016 JK, and my 2006 TJ Unlimited (LJ). Only the 2016 was for routine stuff. The rest has been repair and restoration.
2FG has worked on my steering, suspensions, heat and cooling, electrical, exhaust, and more. On more than one occasion, they have fabricated and installed custom solutions to complex problems. On my '86 Waggy, I had a 4" lift from another shop. They removed the sway bar and bent the track bar and steering was garbage. 2FG completely built the components needed because there wasn't anything out there for this set up. They took a vehicle destined for sitting under a tarp until it rusted into my driveway and made it a joy to drive again.
I don't know a problem they can't fix, and trust me, I've brought them loads of problems! I wouldn't go all the way out to Helotes from inside San Antonio if it wasn't worth it.
