24 Hour Fitness, Houston TX

Group room is only open when manager is there. Must not trust their team members. There isn’t a private place for women to stretch / do yoga. Inconvenient and disappointing to have to finish your workout at home when you pay for a membership. Cleanliness has gone down hill, cardio machines are disgusting.

I love this location.
1. It’s actually open 24 hours
2. The staff is very helpful
3. They have 3 floors of all the equipment you will ever need.

Haven't been here in years but glad I did. Despite this being one of the oldest gyms in Houston (it opened as 24hr in 2010, but was a Bally's before that) they have done their best with upkeep and trying to keep it clean.
The A/C has had a major overhaul, thank you thank you! This is Houston we appreciate air conditioning!
The upstairs workout area has ample freeweights in different areas. They have one of those turf areas, boxing bags, a few newer squat racks (the ones with those platforms with the rubber pads on the end), lots of benches, etc.
Compared to other 24 hour locations, I liked this. Honestly, i signed up a few days ago and was going to cancel my membership before I came back to this location. The other 24 hour locations are nasty dumps in comparison.
Now.it's not as clean as Equinox or Lifetime, but it's a fraction of the cost. So compromises!
The vibe amongst gym members and staff was energizing.
The parking garage is well lit at night (it looks like there might be a security guard but I didn't see them).
My only minor complaints are:
-water fountains need to be updated to those with the filters and bottle fillers.
- there is a vent fan in the men's shower room that is whining loud. Easy fix.just clean it and apply wd40.the sound is so annoying.
- there was a guy in one of the pool lanes walking while on the phone. Like ummm.it's a swimming pool.you swim in those. Respect others that want to actually use the pool for swimming.

Anyways. I like this gym. I'll be back. If you see me say hi!

Can you guys get a couple of Olympic size Women Barbell (15Kg/35lbs) bars. I don’t like lifting with the men’s bar which is 10lbs heavier.

Men aren’t the only people who Olympic lift.

My lock was broken and my money was stolen inside the Houston Rice Village 24 hours fitness on Dec 17,2022 around 7: 10 pm to 7: 40pm. There are cameras in the locker room, but I had no access to it. This gym is not safe and the employees did nothing about it.

Desk staff is friendly and welcoming generally, today (Nov 14th, at around 5pm) was a really bad exception. I will try to not to come back at this time so I'm not being treated poorly.

Entry level gym.plenty of equipment but overall not very clean. Swimming pool water needs more maintenance.

I love this location. They have a pool and sauna downstairs, a basketball court on the third floor, and free weights and machines and a faux grass patch for pushing. Friendly staff at the front desk.
I got any time of day or night. Female Locker room is clean. Gymgoers are cool too.

One of their staff is rude. The front desk lady is not friendly at all. Tuesday Nov 22nd at noon.

I checked out the 24 hour at Rice Village this morning and it was night and day compared to the Midtown location. It was clean on the workout floors. The locker room could've used some attention but was not filthy and beat up like Midtown. The shower area was about average but also could've used some attention. I will check the Richmond location before I make a decision to join.

Pros- this is a 24 hr gym with lots of machines, classes, a sauna, steam room, pool, etc.easy parking.other gyms in the area are not open late like this.cons- the employees are nice most of the time but they’ve given the run around a few times.they should seriously spend their spare time monitoring interaction, cleaning, and refilling cleaning supplies.all of the machines need a serious deep clean (lots of dust and gunk on them and underneath, and they STINK- yes- the stair masters actually emit a terrible odor). In the evening it is SO PACKED (5pm or later except on weekends) - it can get messy and smelly. ~~PLEASE~~ do something about the flock of teeny boppers who come in and yell, horseplay, and disturb other members.

Swam in my own lane for 45 minutes. Pool is fine. Occasionally has non-swimmers who won't lane share.

The customer service is very bad. And they charge me a fee for the year membership and when I was doing the membership they didn’t tell me that.and they just say sorry sorry. And the restroom it’s smells so bad

DO NOT buy a membership in person at the club. They will rip you off very bad. I don't know how but I paid 432 dollars last year for a new membership whereas the best membership available now on their website is 300 dollars a year. And they sold me a national membership, whereas I only wanted to use one club. Congrats to whoever spoke to me that day, good job.

Decent gym! Not to busy during off peak hours but recommend checking this place out. Downside limited cell service throughout building.

Parking has no stairs or elevator.

Great for everyone all ages. Different ones are cleaner and nicer than others but all in all it's a+

I’m coming to get steam and whirlpool daily except for Sunday. It’s just what I expect from the facility. Keep up the great work. The staff is always friendly and courteous!

This gym has 3 floors & a basement, it wasn't busy so we was able to work out great then head to the pool. Yall should give it a try!
