Visited twice to purchase 1/2 pallets of the shade tolerant St Augustine. Both pallets were handled with care and loaded efficiently. Grass was in great condition and I would recommend to anyone looking for grass. Other varieties were on display.

Would not recommend buying sod from the company. Most of it was falling apart all ripped up but I put it down anyway and it’s all dead. I know for a fact it’s not anything I did because we ran out and had to go buy about 30 sheets from Lowe’s. I have pictures of Lowe’s sod right next to theirs. Put down on the same day, same treatment, same watering schedule. Theirs is dead and Lowe’s is still green and looking great. Now I’ve wasted an entire Saturday, money on the sod, and tiller rental fees just to have to do it all again. Save yourself time and money and go somewhere else. I guess you get what you pay for.

Delivered a beautiful pallet of sod to my home the same day I ordered it. I think I called at 11 and the sod was there when I got home at 3. All the pieces were in great condition and I immediately put it down and watered it. Wonderful experience and great customer service!

I had a great experience with these guys, came by to pick up a pallet of grass and they were more than helpful. Had me loaded up and paid in less than 10 minutes. Nice folks too

I picked up 150 sq ft off sod. I was there no more than 12 to 15 minutes. The 2 gentlemen working were very nice. They loaded everything in the back of my vehicle. Expedient friendly service. Thanks

I had to resod much of my front yard in the spring of 2017 and i made multiple trips for their sod, and they couldn't have been more helpful.they even threw in an extra sod or three here and there.and the guy loading my trunk was very friendly and took the time and care not to get it more dirty than what it already was.

Wow! Even in December 290 Grass Co had fresh green grass. They gave me a very fair price for both delivery and installation and did a bang up professional job.

I work with a lot of contractors and was very pleased with the whole experience from start to finish. I would recommend them freely

This company lies, Jimmy is a con artist and will charge you way more than what he says it will cost. The grass will also show up molded. The extent of the lies will go on for weeks and will be anything from the truck broke down to the driver is out of town etc. Nightmere

I called this company and made an appointment for an estimate for sod installation. They never showed up and never called. I called back the next day and set a new appointment giving them the benefit of the doubt. They called me the day of the appointment and said they would be there in 45 minutes. 2 hours later I called and asked what happened and they said they would pull up my paperwork and call me back, and guess what, they never called or showed, AGAIN! My wife waited at home for a day and a half for 2 appointments and they can't even give me the courtesy of calling and saying they can't make the appointment.

I contacted this company on a Wednesday about delivering grass to me. I informed them that we were having an open house on Saturday and that we needed to make sure they could make the time period. Jimmy assured me that it would not be a problem and that the grass would be there by Friday morning before noon. My contractors were there on Friday preparing the yard and no grass showed up. I contacted Jimmy and he had an excuse (note they didn't call me but it was me that called them) but assured me that his guys would get me the grass first thing Saturday morning and that his guys would install it for the inconvenience. Saturday morning comes and I call him at 10: 00 am to insure everything was on track and I was told that they were loading up the truck and would be headed to my location. At 11: 45 I call Jimmy to see what is going on but get no answer. I then get a text saying his guys are 20 mins away. I call him again at 12: 30 and he says his guys are just around the corner but that they will be there. At 1: 20 PM I have to leave but Jimmy is still insisting that his guys are not far away and will be delivering and installing the grass. Monday afternoon, my contractors go by and check the property and the grass still hasn't been installed. I call Jimmy and he starts in again with the excuses and stating that he tried to call me. I ask him what number did he call or text and he can't come up with the number. I then ask him why his company wouldn't have left a message and remind him that I have the text where he states they are 20 mins away but now he is telling me he was having problems getting grass from the farm. I ask him how was the truck supposedly loaded and headed to my location in the first place then. Jimmy then stated that he would check into everything and give me a call back in 20 minutes. That was a week ago. I guess he still can't find my number. Do not do business with this company unprofessional and worst of all they are liars. I can deal with issues, problems and mistakes but a business that will blatantly lie to you should be avoided like the plague.

Great products and people. They will work with you on quantity (like half a pallet of sod etc) I highly recommend them!

HORRIBLE Customer service & the grass delivered was partially dead. Went back to 290 grass 2 days later with pictures and was assured the grass would be replaced with fresh grass. I bought 7 pallets and the owner only replaced the 4 that were not put down. He argued with me that it was my fault but I told him I did everything as instructed by them. The 4 pallets that were replaced took on to find weeds growing in them & to make matters worse he charged me to deliver the replacement grass that was delivered half dead. A neighbor had purchased just a few pieces from them and had complaints of horrible quality of grass as well. So months later and after spending $1000 on grass I'm back where I started. I would not recommend them to my worst enemy.

What I really liked was their honesty. Good advice and did not worry that no sale was going to happen. The gentleman had excellent nowledge and did not rush to get off the phone. I will call again when the next question arises. They had good advice.

Grass was delivered on time but half of the full pallet that was installed died after 2 weeks. It was watered daily and taken care of as instructed. I was informed by my Gardner that if pallets sit for too long the grass inside will cook and will die shortly after installation regardless of treatment. Will not buy from them again and will not recommend to anyone.

Best Saint Augustine grass on NW side. They get fresh grass in almost daily. Only issue is if you go to buy a small amount of grass they may tell you all they have is already sold. Not sure I actually believed the guy but the grass he had was really fresh and green.

I bought a pallate of grass from 290 in Feb of 2015. It was expensive and they installed it, It never grew in like the existing grass and I called 290 in November to ask if there is anything I could do to improve growth and looks. I told nothing could be done at this time of year, but if it is still bad in the Spring call back and we will see what can be done. Over the last two weeks I have called twice and was told that Jimmym would call back. No calls! After reading these other reviews I now understand Jimmy and 290 Grass philosophy. Cash the check and don't worry about the customer or good service levels. I wish I had read these reviews first.
