56 Deli, Whitesboro TX

I don’t live in town, but I come here every chance I get. Today I met a few friends and we had lunch at 56 Deli. Tacos, Cuban, Ruben, pasta salad, deviled eggs, street corn, and Oreo cake! Everyone around the table was happy and full when we left! It’s worth the hour + drive, every time. Locally owned with great service…Great food and a fair price. I can’t wait to go back!

This was our first time dining at 56 Deli. What a joy, the food was really good, and the atmosphere was warm and friendly. The service was good and the ladies were engaging and offered alternate suggestions to different dressings, mayo etc.

56 Dally has been a blessing to Whitesboro without a doubt… Every Tuesday through Saturday this place is, THE place for lunch. If you do not believe me just drive by! Lol the employees are 10 out of 10!
I could not recommend a better atmosphere and service for many miles! Tina has really perfected her skills, especially in business in a small town! She probably knows you by name and if she doesn’t, she will soon. Kendra is by far the most wanted employee of Grayson County! She works her butt off and you can see it every single time you enter the store. Vanessa is also a huge part of the service and atmosphere. She also knows your name and if she doesn’t, she knows your face lol!
These women are a force to be reckoned with, if you have not tried 56 deli, you are truly truly missing out.

Someone went and picked Food up for me and it was the chicken salad sandwich and I forgot what my friend had. It was delicious and was enough for two people. Very delicious, and after living here for two years, I didn’t even know it existed, so glad to know now.

I've lived in whitesboro for a few years. The wife and I have talked about eating here a few times but never pulled the trigger, well that was a mistake. Finally came here for lunch, line was wrapped around the whole inside. I understand why, the girls behind the counter are fast and super friendly! The food was great, got a few sandwiches and pasta salad. Great small town deli, will definitely be getting lunch here more often when I'm in town from work.

Had the chicken quesadilla, really greasy- more than some others I've had. Other than that, all good. Had a sandwich before, it was better.

This was one of the best sammies i have ever had. Get you bread toasted and enjoy the ride.

I recently had the pleasure of trying out the 56 Deli. Inside, we were met with an extremely friendly staff, a hometown feel and a menu that does NOT play around!

SO. MANY. OPTIONS. The menu was incredible! Seriously, if you leave this place feeling bored from your food, you didn't even try.

The bread was insane. The meat was exploding with flavor and the vegetables were fresh and delicious.

It's just a great place. A simple, chill environment and food that'll rock your world.

The staff is very friendly and hard working. I got the chicken salad, it was the best I’ve ever had no joke! Very fresh. My boyfriend really enjoyed his quesadilla. I highly recommend eating here all around good.

Freshest sandwiches in the area. Super fast and friendly staff. So many options for a sandwich! The banana pudding is legit!

It was great! As always! I can't say I've ever been dissatisfied with anything I've eaten here honestly and as a picky eater that is saying a LOT.

It was my first time in and when I came in I noticed the ladies making loaded potatoes. They looked amazing so I ordered one. They told me that they were completely out! I told her that I just saw them making them and she said that since I didn't call ahead of time I couldn't have one. My heart was set on it so I didn't ordered anything. Right as I was about to leave I look up and guess what I see? ! She was making someone else a potato! I felt really singled out! If that's not the case and you run out of them often then why wouldn't you just buy more potatoes. I guess maybe it's B. Y. O. P here

It was cold yesterday and my sister and I decided to get an early lunch at this small, casual, hometown cafe. I know from drive-by's that 56 Deli gets busy at noon. My husband met us there and we were warmly greeted by the servers inside. We walked up to the counter and studied the menu up on the wall while plates were being prepped for the customers in front of us.

A cup of tomato soup was what I ordered, seasoned and hot. My husband and sister ordered sandwiches that were made to order. She has a variety of breads, cold cuts, and cheeses. Sandwiches can be ordered half or whole. There are daily specials that include pasta salad, deviled eggs, broccoli salad, and desserts such as homemade ice cream, strawberry cake to name a few. Tina and her team take great care in making sure that the customer gets what they order. We all added a bag of chips and a serve-your self drink with our meals.

The restaurant is set up like most sandwich shops with pleasant and easy feel about it. The customer can eat inside or sit outdoors street-side on any of the wooden picnic tables on the front porch.
