A-1 Toyota Salvage, San Antonio TX

Place was organized and neat however the person behind the counter was not very helpful. Directed to a vehicle that wasnt what was asked about and when checked at another place down the street was told that they had the part I was looking for. Pricing was much closer to buying a new part which was the whole reason for looking at a salvage yard. Actually found what I was looking for online at 1/2 the price that they would have sold it for and the part was brand new with warranty. Wouldnt recommend this place due to the pricing and service. There is a car parts dot com website out there that has new parts with much better service and pricing.

Will give zero stars if I could got a part broke less then a week try to exchange but because someone didn’t do there job correctly I am out $50 dollars I could of used to get the part brand new

Cannot tell you how nice and service oriented they are. Michael, help me so much. They installed a transmission. Was driving and transmission busted. I called a lot of places. They had the part arranged for vehicle to be picked up, took it to an other shop for me. Had it ready for me in less than day. Incredible. Cannot thank them enough. Definitely recommend.

Was looking for parts for a first gen tundra and sequoia and found more than expected for a real reasonable price. For sure will be going back, very helpful.

This place makes me wanna buy a Toyota. Unfortunately I own a VW however they have a few different selections of other cars.
The customer service is the best. When you call they always answer. The prices are very reasonable. They take card and cash for payment. You don’t pay to get in the yard.

I visted this salvage yard (like we all do, because WE ALL WANT TO PAY LESS for a USED PART)

so I asked the guy at the desk for a camshaft sensor! He told me they were charging 75 bucks a pop for each of those sensors!

The reason I went there was to avoid having to pay to much at autozone or oriellys.

Both autozone and oriellys sell the same part for 65 bucks! So I left, and purchased it at autozone!

why would a salvage yard be more expensive than a retail store with BRAND NEW PARTS

I will never go to that place ever again! The owner doesn’t even care about the reviews on here, it’s 2023. People check reviews and do research online. He should keep up with the reviews, because the only reviews he acknowledges are the positive ones. But completely ignores and acts dumb to the negative reviews!
How unprofessional!

I normally don’t do reviews, whether I had a good experience or a bad experience, but Mike at A-1 Toyota salvage, is the most genuine honest and professional owner I’ve ever encountered. Obviously a business exists to make money, but he puts character and compassion before profit. I definitely recommend. Not only do they sell quality used parts, but they also diagnose and fix vehicles as well if needed. Thanks again Mike!
