I did not have them do any work but I brought my Lexus to them after the dealer said I would need a new transmission due to a bad cyulinoid. A plus ran the diagnostics and did not find anything major wrong. They could have told me it needed something done but they were super honest and gave me a report of everything that could use attention at some point clarifying nothing was urgent at all. Very friendly manager too! I will use them to do the minor stuff they suggested like transmission fluid.

Great guys. Could absolutely have sold me on a new transmission, I got out the door with a fluid change for under $200.

When I DO need a new transmission, these guys have earned my business.

I've had an issue with my car fort months and had been given the run around from two previous shops. Jackson kept it real and gave me all the knowledge he could and found me some really cheap prices on replacing my transmission. Hopefully I'll never have to, but they will always get my business.

A+Transmission Specialist just completed installing all of the motor mounts and replacing my power steering pump on my 2012 Ford Taures. They did an excellent job, they are honest, and Jackson is great to help with the problems. I completely recommend them!

Communication was good at the start and the claim was submitted and paid by the warranty company. Things went downhill from there as the submitted repairs didn’t work and more parts were needed to complete it. The repair was finished after this delay but since the shop did not submit for the new parts my rental reimbursement was not paid as the warranty company assumed my car was already repaired. The final part of the bad experience was finding a six inch scratch/door ding on my passenger door that I now have to pay for because the shop never followed up with me to repair.

Typically, I'm not one to leave reviews, but my experience with Jackson and the team at A Plus in Cedar Park has been anything but typical. I was blown out of the water with their professionalism and honesty.

I had to get my 2016 Nissan Sentra towed to their place a while ago when it refused to shift out of 1st. In the past, my experience with auto shops, especially specialist shops, can be summed up with "frustrating". The standard "what can we get them to pay" shenanigans which result in either you paying double what you need to, or you and your car being treated poorly. But my first call with Jackson wasn't a rushed quote; it was a detailed explanation of their findings and a genuine exploration of potential solutions. The first option was to replace the valve body, about a third the cost of replacing the entire transaxle (Nissan CVT's suck). I was ready to go for it when he flat out told me it wasn't worth it since there was a chance it'd only fix part of the problem and I'd be back again for the same issues. In the end I was told that I should either sell it for what I can or replace the whole assembly.

It took me two and a half weeks to come to terms with paying nearly the value of the Sentra (Again, Nissan CVT's are a nightmare) just so I could turn around and sell it. When I called and told them about my decision, I was immediately shown some ways to reduce the cost of the repair. Twice within the same process they had the chance to get some easy money, but both times they gave me ways to help my wallet rather than theirs. And this was all while my car was taking up space in their lot. Due to this experience, I'll be returning to A Plus in Cedar Park for anything and everything I can and honestly hope that the money they didn't get out of this repair is more than made up by the money I'll be spending on maintenance for my latest poor financial decision.

While I probably shouldn't have written a damned essay, I don't remember a time that I've been this confident that my money is going to the right people, for the right reasons. To any upper management reading this, I hope this is exactly the experience you target. You'll be highly, highly recommended to friends and family; especially my own.

I definitely feel like I chose the right trans specialist. They were able to determine that I did not have a solenoid or electrical problem but rather something internal failed. Since I know quite a bit about transmissions they offered that I could watch them disassemble the trans if I pulled it myself and brought it in. That speaks volumes on their technical confidence.

So. I took my car to A Plus back in May or April with what I thought was a transmission problem. Turned out to be the catalytic converter. They were beyond nice and did the repair anyway. My car has been running great ever since!
