Been a customer of A&W before and the quality used to be okay. Ordered 2 pallets of emerald Zoysia in March which cost about $600. Upon delivery I noticed it’s dry and looks dead so I complained to the driver. He mentioned it will become green once it gets enough rain and sun light. 3 months later I’m left with no grass and lots of weed. Emailed them with photos of the grass delivered and aftermath but they don’t reply. Would buy from Brokers again. Zoysia is not cheap and given I paid $300 to place the sod, it’s been a $900 project to dump more dirt in my yard.

Best Quality Sod in North Dallas. St Augustine, Bermuda, Zoysia - they got it! Great Customer Service, organized, smoothly ran, family owned. Cheryl is definitely on top of her stuff. You will not be disappointed using AW Turf for your sod needs.

These pictures are 2 months after I put the sod in. Installed at the end of March and pics were taken end of May when all my neighbors have lush lawns. A&W Turf sold me bad grass and won’t do anything about it. They said once you take possession of the sod they are not responsible. But how can you tell it’s bad when they drop off the pallet? Wasted $500 and many hours of tilling and laying the sod. They don’t stand behind their bad quality product.

First time I ever write a review. Ordering was easy and straight forward. Unfortunately the sod quality was horrible (see pictures). The sod was not freshly cut, it was dry and many cuts were mingled together. Out of 4 pallets, I had to discard at least half pallet. When confronted with the quality of the sod, they blamed the freeze in Texas and they mentioned that they were also not happy with the quality of the sod. It would have been nice to know that in advance. I do not thing that sod gets dry from the cold weather. Even the Home Depot sod looked better. Extremely disappointed. Cannot recommend.

Bad sod.supposedly fresh cut but it was dry. Call to complain they said no warranty no return sorry

I’m a homeowner in Dallas. I called 3-4 different spots to get 25 pieces of Zoysia and they all said “you must get full pallets! ”
A&W was SO NICE. Was able to fit me in with another order.
Show up and they throw in 4 extra pieces.

I called before I went to make sure they had St Augustine sod in stock. The lady that answered was very friendly and helpful. The guys that loaded the sod into my truck were very nice and quick and the sod looks really green and healthy. An overall great experience.

Really nice people with quality products. I basically call a day ahead of time and give them my name and my order and it was there the next morning for me to pick up. Ordered 5 pallets of Bermuda over two different weekends and was extremely satisfied with all aspects of the business. My truck can only carry 1 pallet at a time so I pick up one then go lay it. Then a couple of hours later pick up another and so on!

I am so impressed with the product I will be ordering 3 more pallets of bermuda. Although I didnt use the St. Augustine.it looked excellent as well!

Great place, although customer service was not all that. However, I was greeted by two large friendly dogs. Was also in and out quickly. Grass looked great, nice and green.

NOTE: shows to be on North 1st Street, is actually around the corner on Walnut.

These guys supply some of the highest quality turf within DFW. I never have issues with weeds and nutsedge with the final product unlike other suppliers.
