Recently had my nipples and belly button pierced here and they came out great! The whole process was very comfortable and sanitary. Ruben knew exactly what he was doing. He talked me through the process and placement. I would highly recommend!

The guy who gave me my naval piercing was very unprofessional his name was Ruben Garza.
After he put his gloves on he ate candy and didn't change his gloves, then when he was putting my jewelry in he dropped the ball and didn't sanitize it. He messed up my piercing badly, it's ABOVE my belly button and it's crooked. I took it out 20 minutes after getting it pierced because it's so bad. Waste of $50 and pain!

I just got a nostril piercing from here! He was very sweet and answered all the questions I had for him about my piercing. The jewelry is good quality from what I can tell and very beautiful placement. This was the most affordable and good quality piercing here in town and I very much reccomend it.

Worst tattoo I've ever gotten. Dude said he would take his time and make sure it looked great. The lines were horrible and even told me he wears glasses but didn’t want me to make fun of him for wearing glasses

Most excellent experience over the past 2 days with A1 Tattoo and Piercing. I came in for a cover up with a design that I wasn’t sure would meet my needs and my long term girlfriend came in for a Daith piercing. The piercing was as clean, spot on and professional. Great work and barely any discomfort from the piercing.

As far as the tattoo, I must say the patience, professionalism and honesty of Ruben was on point in relation to what I was asking. We worked together to get the best format and sketch for the cover up and then he went on and worked his magic. And magic is no short answer for what he performed to cover this tattoo. The original tattoo was approximately 5 inch by 3 inches from almost 30 years ago that I had already gone through a session for the removal, however my skin wasn’t a good candidate.

Ruben took appropriate measures and time to make this experience phenomenal. The cover up is perfect and he made me feel good to be in my skin again. I am not a vain individual but when there is something on you that you can’t remove and which no longer represents a part of you or not symbolic of you, it definitely can bring you down.

Ruben picked me up and breathed new life into the art on my body. To add context; I have had tattoos done from across the world (South Korea, Okinawa, Guam, New York, Texas, North Dakota, Arizona, New Jersey, Nevada, Germany, Sicily, and Slovakia…from what I can remember).

He is personable, patient, funny as heck, professional, reasonably priced (especially with the economy the way it is), great music culture and an excellent artist.

This is the only place for me and the only place I will be going for tattoos the rest of my time living here in Texas which is atleast the next 2 years. My plan moving forward right now, to keep it real in my finances department but also to support his business, is to get a tattoo once a month…maybe more than one, but atleast one.

Why once a month? I have a lot of ideas and some additional cover ups I would like to do on my back, chest, and side…while still adding some additional heritage flare to my body while I am still living and breathing.

Make sure you take some time when you can to spend with your family. You are a serious workhorse and I know your commitment to your client base, as well as new customers, but you definitely deserve some additional time with your family.

Ruben/A1 Tattoos was amazing! He did excellent work, and he got me in right away. He was very helpful, as this was my first tattoo, and I needed some guidance. I was surprised that I felt no pain. He was a very nice guy as well. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

I went in just to get my nose pierced because another facility had told me that they couldn’t just do it for me. That I had to make an appointment. So I went and saw this dude. Immediately felt comfortable. I allowed him to pierce my nose and then I decided to get my very first tattoo. It came out amazing it’s on my finger it was super easy the price was super great!
