I've been looking for quite some time for a delicate antique wedding band to match with my 1928 antique engagement ring, and I'd almost resigned myself to buying online (which scared me a lot because it's been a hard ring to match with!). However, on a rare day off yesterday, my fiancé and I went to a few different jewelry stores around Austin to see if my dream ring was out there. After going to four other stores without much luck, we made our way to Abercrombie Jewelry and were blown away by the selection that could possibly go with my ring - I even had to narrow it down between several favorites! I hadn't even been considering a band with diamonds, but when we found this delicate antique platinum band with a handful of small diamonds along the edge, it blended so seamlessly - and it was already in my size! Steph's help was so appreciated, and we were honestly so in love with the ring that our total time at the store was about 20 minutes. Seriously overjoyed at having found my dream ring, and so thankful to Abercrombie for their awesome customer service and selection.

This place is a dreamy fusion of craftsmanship, professionalism and quality, consistently offering some of the most beautiful, storied pieces I've ever seen. My husband purchased my engagement and wedding rings from AJ and co, the former (pictured) an 18k gold/diamond halo from the 1980s with a Columbian emerald center - both rings are absolutely gorgeous. A family-owned business, the owner is usually onsite which feels personal and accessible. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable - somehow, seemingly, about each and every item in the store. From wearable go-tos to show-stopping statement pieces, Abercrombie offers a wide variety in a range of price points. Fantastic experience at Ambercrombie Jewelry. I have a vintage wedding set that needed repair and re-sizing. I chose Ambercrombie after reading the excellent reviews. Friendly, down to earth advice and assessment of the repairs needed and they did a beautiful job with my ring. They even let me in a couple of minutes after closing to pick up my ring since I couldn’t leave work in time. The great reviews are well justified. So glad to have found this place.

I had a broken, rather complex king chain which needed repair and Abercrombie did a great job and charged a reasonable price.

I had some gold from the Middle East (22 karat and 18 karat) to sell and AJ was able to appraise it immediately and gave me an excellent price.

This is THE place to go in Austin for custom jewelry or repurposing jewelry that you have that is not quite working for you. The people are so down-to-earth (no aloofness here) and their pricing was completely fair and up front. Yet, the quality of their work is the best I have ever seen from any jeweler. I walked in with a Tahitian pearl necklace that I couldn't wear because I couldn't operate the flimsy pearl clasp that came with it, and another small pearl necklace that I wasn't wearing and wanted to have made in to a pearl-by-the-yard look with 18K gold wire (a design I had been looking for for years and couldn't find) Plus I had a pair of Tahitian pearl earrings with a long french wire setting that I didn't like because they hung too low for me. Their expert pearl stringers restrung my Tahitian pearls perfectly and put on a new 18K lobster clasp that I supplied. They made the earrings into simple 18K hoop drops just like I wanted, and custom wire wrapped, by hand, my small white pearls into a gorgeous new necklace! I guess when I walked in, I just expected them to scoff at my ideas or say that they didn't have time or couldn't do the things I was asking. Instead, they listened to all of my details about the designs, answering all of my questions without pretense. Then they literally hand-made my jewelry that wasn't being worn into pieces that I will now wear forever! Thanks Abercrombie! Y'all are the BEST!
