A friend highly recommended this place for my BMW 650i. After taking her to the BMW dealership in The Woodlands and having a repair bill higher than the cost of the car! Then having them try to sell the car to them! Called ABR and spoke with them and they immediately had an appointment for them to diagnose the issue. They gave me an honest diagnosis of what needed to be done. From communication, detailed documentation and procedures to pay they are very well organized. I’ve been very pleased with the work they’ve done. The customer service is beyond what I’ve had at any other car repair place.

Work, info, timing, quote, general experience all good. In my case, I had paid to replace the valve cover gasket, then was quoted to replace another part inside the valve cover with only the gasket removed, so essentially paying for the labor twice. There are certainly reasons why this part may not have been diagnosed as bad upfront, but another $1,000 or so in labor to do the job twice was not good.

Highly recommend however and will return. No pressure sales.

ABR Houston is customer focused and very professional. Their employees that answer the phone actually know what they’re talking about. They are far superior to another shop I used for years in the Willis area. They create an account with your vehicle service records, service items identified to be done at a later date and detailed pictures that you have access to. Through this account you can select exactly what you won’t done and when. Payment can be done through a secure online payment system. Their service technician even found where another shop didn’t complete the work I had paid to have done. That proved to me how good their technicians are. I highly recommend them.

Bought a 2013 BMW 135i used and took it to ABR for a general inspection and going over. Clean and pleasant location. Waiting room has a brand new appearance and feel. Car received a clean bill of health and there was no suggestive selling for unnecessary or currently unneeded items. Staff was highly professional, friendly and straightforward. Not a mechanic, but have owned many cars and these guys seemed extremely competent and knowledgeable about the BMW brand. Plan to go back to ABR for any future needs for this vehicle.

Update 8/16/23: Have been back a few times since my initial review. Had the car’s horn replaced and the oil changed, at which time a need for some front brake servicing was discovered. This is not a case of a repair shop looking to manufacture expensive work, but rather a facility that is dedicated to maintaining your vehicle to factory specs, regardless of age, even though BMW’s are not cheap to keep. Have a Lexus for my daily driver, which would probably go to the moon and back on an oil change, but the BMW is more fun to drive and not surprisingly more expensive to maintain.

ABR has a high quality physical plant and customer waiting area, and the staff is friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. As good if not better than any BMW service facility I have used (and I have probably owned 15 Bimmers or more) with a much more personal touch, and no more expensive in my view. A big upside, for me is they can usually get your car in the shop and serviced on shorter notice and with less wait time than local BMW dealers I have used, and ABR’s techs are just as good as dealer techs in my experience. Plan to keep using ABR.

I had a repair done by a mechanic and they completely botched the whole thing. It was a ticking time bomb. The guys here at ABR used some creative ingenuity to fabricate a permanent repair that should last the lifetime of the vehicle. A+ customer service.

ABR provided excellent service and support. They were very professional, knowledgeable, and timely.

Aimed to bring my vehicle over a couple of weeks ago during a rough time of power outages and difficult communication for the business. Ended up missing my original time slot but got a hold of the shop and got a prompt reschedule. Customer service was spot on with quick and accurate information. If they dealt with all the issues and still managed my vehicle to this degree it would only be better on any other day. I will be back.

I, as many other read the reviews which made me take a chance on ABR Houston. I made my appointment and although I did not receive a response I called to make the appointment over the phone. And was grateful that they had an appointment the same day. Took the car in and they did the complementary diagnosis and they told me exactly what the issue was with the car. Picked it up several days later and they car was running as it should until the car stalled on me miles down the road. I was lucky to call right before they closed and let ABR know what happened and I had a tow truck pick me up about 30 minutes after stalling. They take the car back to the shop and had to wait for someone to call me after the weekend. Once they called me back they let me know that we can opt to have more testing done on the car so I agreed even though I had just paid thousands of dollars for repairs that day. When they call me and let me know the results they wanted me to pay thousands of dollars more to have another job done. A job that had nothing to do with the previous repairs and I had never had any issues with the car and the repairs they were suggesting. I refused to do the repairs and I advised them I would take my car home and the gentlemen told me I couldn't take my car home because the car is completely disabled and the car will not start. That I could have it towed out of the facility but it was not drivable. I did not take in a disabled car. The car was driven in not towed in! And now I had to have it towed out and left to figure out what they did wrong and find someone honest to do additional repairs? Completely unacceptable and unprofessional! BE WARNED!

Fantastic.honest, knowledgeable, efficient. They did a great inspection and saved me stress and money after a second opinion from a dealer recommendation that turned out to be more sales than was truly necessary. I'll be back for sure

Really appreciate the thoroughness and especially the guidance on what was required immediately and what could wait! They delivered exactly as promised - actually a bit early! I am sure I will be back!

I took my car to ABR to have them check why the engine light was on. They performed a complimentary diagnostic which revealed an issue with the gas air mixture. Another European car repair garage was going to charge me to perform this diagnostic test. ABR then needed to perform an in depth diagnostic, which they did. They provided a complimentary car while they performed the tests. Fortunately the tests did not reveal any issues and they were extremely honest and did not to attempt to fix something that did not need fixing. I will continue to go to them for any issues with my car or the required maintenance as my car is older and doesn’t need to take it to dealer to maintain warranty. I would highly recommend them

March 2023: I had taken my M6 to all major dealerships attempting to receive a diagnosis for the codes my car was reading out. A couple of thousand dollars later and months of time spent, I still was unable to have any success finding a shop that could return my M6 to its peak performance, let alone make it fully functional vehicle.

JULY 2023: I decided to try a local shop before I went to another Houston/Greater Houston area Dealer…Enter ABR Houston:

ABR performed a scheduled oil change and it was an excellent experience. I have had the pleasure of knowing and working with the owner Alex for years. His team of technicians are amazing; extremely professional, courteous and trustworthy. The new location is top notch. It's exceptionally clean, spacious and easy to get to. However, the best part is getting to hang out with his dog while you wait.
