I have learned about Abrazo Adoption through my daughter. She has spoken positively of Abrazo and happy outcome of families that have adopted.

We have only worked with Abrazo for a short time, but in our application process and communication with the team, we had hope reignited. With that hope, we actually are pregnant. Although we cannot continue with Abrazo at the present time, we would absolutely come back to them in the future, should something happen and our pregnancy not make it! The team has been so kind, and honestly, I think they had a hand in our miracle

This company's policies are ridiculous. To qualify for the "infertility" full-service program a medial diagnosis of Recurrent Pregnancy Loss (RPL) doesn't suffice, and you would have to show proof of medical sterilization (i.e. Having your tubes tied). This despite the fact that according to the Mayo Clinic "Many infertile couples will go on to conceive a child without treatment. " (not to mention infertile couples that do go on to conceive with medical intervention). By that standard any "infertile" couple would also have to show medical proof of sterilization for this company policy not to be discriminatory against people with RPL.

Why in the world this matters for something like adoption in the first place is a much larger question.

This company needs to reflect on their illogical, exclusionary policies, and that they are the furthest thing from un abrazo.

Were a bright spot in a VERY uncertain time. Elizabeth and her team were very helpful and guided us through every step. There was no pressure and no rush. All our questions were answered and the staff was always available.

This company has the best staff whom genuinely care about their clients. Their love for both the birth parents and adoptive parents is sincere. They’re one of the best adoption agencies to go with! Highly recommended!

Abrazo provides loving, compassionate adoption services to expectant parents and adoptive parents. Their staff is extremely dedicated and treat their clients like family. I worked with this agency over a decade ago and am still welcomed with open arms. I am impressed that they offer peer group counseling to all birthparents (regardless of what agency they placed with) and ongoing outreach programs in their community for birthparents, adoptees, and adoptive parents. Truly the best little agency in Texas.

We first heard about Abrazo from a coworker of mine who used them to adopt two of her children. We attended their future parents weekend and we just knew that it was the right fit. Abrazo was wonderful through every step of our adoption process. They are knowledgeable and compassionate. I especially love how well they take care of the first mothers who place with them even after placement has occurred. That small distinction really speaks to their adoption ethics. We would definitely recommend them to our friends and family as a place to consider for adoption. Our family is complete but if someday we changed our minds, we would come back to work with them again without hesitation.

As with others who have left negative reviews I fully expect Elizabeth to leave a nasty reply. Dear Elizabeth, this only shows that your only concern is your online reputation and that you spend more time online than you do doing your job. For instance maybe you could spend an extra ten minutes a week dealing with your obvious issue maintaining files since you lost our home study at least three times in a 9 month period despite getting multiple hard copies and emails containing it. Or you could spend some time with a therapist learning why you're antisemitic and such an angry and bitter person. Either way you would be greatly benefitted and maybe you could learn to act like a professional.
One of the reasons I resisted leaving a review for Abrazo is because the last time I did Elizabeth Vanderwerf Jurenovich the so called professional who owns this agency stuck her lawyers on us. Well, whatever Lizzy, I'm done with you and your threats and lies. I know you've gotten others to take down their negative reviews but the world deserves to know what you're about. So here it is. Abrazo Adoption Associates will threaten to remove your child if you so much as question an item on a bill or if you question their practices in any way shape or form. We had to accumulate 3700 in attorney fees because Elizabeth would not sign the finalization paperwork. She then demanded further home visits. She and her agency refused to the monthly calls that they are required to by their licensing agency and we had to hire another social worker (cost 900) to do that. It is a direct breach of the adoption agency licensing codes and they must have faked the paperwork to any auditor in the future. We have our daughter and finally finalized despite the disgusting and unethical behavior exhibited by Elizabeth. I strongly urge you to go to another agency for your adoption journey. The positive reviews are most likely fake or coerced. These people do not act in the best interest of the child, the birth mother or the adopting couple.
