Anything Astros & Texans is way overpriced. You can save a lot of money and buy from Walmart.

Great store and location, went for some disc's and they had some good one I was looking for which never happenss, keep it up

I went to find a tent and really wished they had a more diverse selection as I find common for most academies the checkout lines aren't really that long but it still seems to take forever and the credit card kiosk thing just asked too many questions of you time consuming and probably does not help with how long the lines take no fault on the employees

That guy Paul at the crossroads location is awesome he helped my son get fit with baseball gloves and picked out a good bat and saved us some money by getting us to apply for the academy card.

This was ONE of the GREATEST EXPERIENCES THAT I HAVE HAD SHOPPING IN THIS FACILITY OVER THE MANY YEARS THAT I HAVE PURCHASED SPORTING GOODS! THE STAFF WAS FRIENDLY, CARING, VERY HELPFUL, AND EFFICIENT! THEY NEED TO BE AN EXAMPLE FOR OTHER LOCATIONS!

Academy is one of a few retailers who isn't trying to price gouge on ammo, but they get cleaned out every morning by resellers.

Favorite store, just didn't have what we were looking for at the time. Clear backpacks are so hard to find.

Academy will always be one of my favorite stores.mostly it’s been fishing, camping and hunting. But I also buy lump charcoal there (great prices) and now I’m a tee-ball coach (a new place for my money to go).

So, I was in a rush to get a gift for a friend. The item I was looking for was a kyak and canoe cart. I called 3 different academy in the area 2 stores picked up rude as heck and 1 store didn't answer. But when I called this particular academy and Amanda picked up and asked for what I was looking and verified that it was in stock. Not only that when I got to the store she had told me to ask for her and she had it in the front ready for check out. In and out happy to have found what I needed. Awesome store awesome staff and Amanda is freaking Allstar.thanks.

Went to buy a couple of kayaks. None of them were priced. Asked employee for prices but he didn't know. Said he would find someone, but no one ever came. Wanted some cycling shorts, but men and womens were mixed and no sizes matched the hangers.

We wonder why Amazon is winning. Pathetic retail shops.

This is my home location. It's ok. I bought a trampoline here over the weekend and no one asked me if I needed help. Im 5'10: and 185. Not very big but I lifted the 200lb trampoline into a cart by myself and then had to load the 200 lb box into my suv by myself as well. The gun selection was completely cleared as well.

Great academy. They have lots of helpful people, and they work together to move people through the checkout easily. We were able to find what we needed at a good price without spending too much time there.

I spent over 2 hours evading questions with management why I wanted to purchase a weapon after I had passed my ATF background check. Someone in management placed a hold on my purchase due to me buying multiple weapons over the last 8 years. They wouldn't tell me what the magic number was that flagged my name and they did not inform me over the years that they were keeping my information in a data base. I worked for the federal government for over 40 years and have never been denied or delayed due to an ATF background check. To have a company maintain a database on my purchases to restrict sales is both disturbing and an infringement on my rights. Academy is profiling consumers even after passing the proper federal background checks. Im sure that after posting this, I will be completely banned from Academy stores.

Trying to order online, so I called first (crossroads, Houston TX location) to check stock as one item said only 1 of 1 was left. On the automated call I selected apparel dept but upon answering I was transferred 5 times. After a 23min wait the person that finally answered as “apparel dept” went to “check for the item”.
Real $hitty customer service. Go spend your money elsewhere.

Really, really need more cashiers! I mean I can wait a bit, but I celebrated 2 birthdays in there last time.

In my opinion Academy is the next store on the chopping block joining the other stores with insulting prices.sooner or later this store going out of business like Staples next door. Terrible, terrible management, empty shelves, rude employees (especially In the Firearms, Hunting Department), ridiculous prices for products of a very bad quality. What's worse is that the corporate office doesn't care! Well, good riddance!
