There were ample items at good reductions from close outs on shoes and various clothing.

Sales included top of the line brands of at least 30 percent. Lots of sizes and styles to select.

Need to update your pick up instructions so people don’t drive 40 miles to pick up a rifle only to find out you can’t without the physical card used to pay for it even though that wasn’t stated on the email. Even though you have plenty of items to verify identity and proof of purchase otherwise. Unfortunately I don’t carry all my ccs work n my wallet. Very disappointing

I bought a Nike air max that I didn't get to check it out at the store, getting home and found out that someone actually returned them after wearing for a day or two

Went in for a pair of sunglasses. They had some issues locating the pair I wanted but was taken care of quickly. Great service

This Pearland location appears to be significantly below the typical Academy. I don't know what it is with this location, but they tend to be understocked and it is difficult to get assistance. Just today, the cashier could not be bothered to stop talking to 2 coworkers long enough to help a customer. Whether it is due to their being physically isolated in a corner of the strip or a lack of supervision by management, this location is subpar. They rarely have what I am looking for so I always check first and go with the intent of buying a specific item. That being said it is worth going if it is the closest location and you don't mind looking for your own shoes, clothes, equipment. Beware if you need something out of a locked case because this will likely take at least 15 minutes. Just
plan ahead.

Love this place. I go here for the quality sportswear + swimming accessories like anti-fog for my goggles. Great selection of top brands + the store brand, which i generally prefer. Hunting + camping gear, fishing things, coolers, u name it! Better sunglasses too. Footwear galore. I even found some cool firearms brand t-shirts for my BF. Lots of sizes, true US sizes. Not Asian sizes. No cheap junk.

Found the football cleats for my grandson quickly. We were in and out in about 15 to 20 minutes.

I was needing snorkeling gear, but the store no longer carried any due to Summer Season basically being over. So not upset about it.

This academy is slowly getting back in stock on their hunting ammo. If you don't see it on the display ask the employees, they might have it behind the counter.

Some things that we were looking for they were out of. Had to go to another place to find additional fishing equipment.

Pearland Texas location off off Hwy 288. Store had a wide variety of merchandise but was very busy due to tax free weekend. Associates were very helpful and friendly

We are able to find most things we need for outdoor events, however they have such a limited supply of size 14 shoes for men.

Let me start by saying I thought that this was going to be a quick, fast and easy type of shopping since I knew what I wanted but that was not the case.

I entered the store at around 5: 30pm. Was greeted at the door and I went about my business. I was in the fitness department for about 10 mins waiting for help but saw no one. I then walked over to the gentleman who greeted me earlier and asked him can he call someone over to help me. He said sure. I waited maybe another 15 mins and decided to go back to the gentleman to see if he had called for anyone. He said he did but no one responded and that they was stretched thin today. I walked my way back into the fitness area and waited another 15 mins and again, decided to go back to the gentleman. I said I been waiting close to 20 to 30 mins now and can I please get some help. He said he'll try to get someone over and apologized. Someone finally came to help me at 6: 11pm. I asked the associate can he grab me a weight set and he said he’ll be back. Well it is now 6: 25pm and he is still not in sight. I then actually see the associate who was helping me put merchandise back on the selfs so I approached him and asked him did he get my weight set? He tells me "oh, I left it at the front". Welllll okay then? So he just assumed that I knew where he put it? I literally was waiting for nothing when he had it up at the registers. For something that could of taken 10mins max, had me waiting close to an hour now.
Management needs to schedule accordingly. The whole time I was there all I kept hearing over the intercoms "manager, please come to customer service for customer assistance" or "team sports associate please answer your calls on line 2". Meaning everyone else wasn't getting helped either.

Not like it use to be. Sales are not that great. Not as many clothes, maybe because They are getting ready for fall shipment.

Awesome store. Had what my husband and I were looking for, and then some! Prices and clearance section were pretty good as well. Enjoyed the variety of items that they carry.

My cashier Lisha was great! Ensured I got my 1st responder discount and offered another 10% off with an Academy card approval.and I got it! It's been a tough year and she made my son's birthday great!
