Found an excellent flashlight made by coleman that has a battery that charges off a c type USB and it's a power bank and can be used in a myriad of coleman applications.

It is what it is. Wish they had more billiards equipment and accessories. But quality cues like Meucci's or Predator. Oh well, I guess asking for such things is unrealistic expectations.

Had an amazing shopping experience yesterday. I can never find shoes and almost always have to look in men's for the right size and durability. Most times I feel self conscious when sales people approach to help because I worry they will point me to the women's section. Not here Diane came up helped me find the right size pulled boxes down made sure I had a good shoe for what I needed and was the most pleasant person I have ever met in retail. She was working so hard to help me and other customers get what they needed and truly made for the best experience.

Friendly and helpful staff, could stock up on their products a little bit more to give more of a selection. But it was a nice, clean and very organized store. I'd recommend going to this location.

I go here for fishing tackle seldom. They never have Black/Blue tail soft plastics. They do have some swim bream's or what I call swim bream's. As long as they have those I will be back

We stopped on our way through town. Store was very clean and staff were friendly and helpful. Had a great selection with all sizes available (an issue we have with our local store back home). Had great deals on the clearance sections!

Academy started as an Army/Navy used Military Equipment Store back when I was a kid. It had all sorts of used Military equipment from all branches of the Service. And now it's sports store.

The Bastrop Academy is always clean and neat and organized. I always find a great selection of clothes and shoes. The employees are polite & helpful

They actually had my shoe size so ended up buying three pairs of shoes one pair for 30 two pairs for 20 not a bad deal thank you very much

Needed to update with a couple details. Inadvertently saved/posted without comments.

The team at the Bastrop store were awesome during the Texas winter storm. They were at the front of the store reviewing the need and they were proactive with their inventory so our family got what we needed quick and got back on the road before the weather got worse. We got firewood, hand warmers, and a portable water tank, which they filled with water from the back!

Clint and team made it work with a small group and with great attitudes. We will never forget how they helped us and I will be a loyal customer because of their dedication.

Horrible customer service.academy left me and my 6 children with zero funds over this Easter holiday. I ordered a large pool online from academy for $1190.73 on 3/24. Academy ran a preauthorization of $1190.73 twice on my checking acct. I called Academy and after some run around they asked me to call my bank, saying it was an issue on the banks side. I talked to my bank and they needed a pre authorization release form faxed to Academy for a signature to authorize only one charge of $1190.73 was required. I called back Academy's customer service line and after waiting 30-45 minutes I finally was able to speak to a representative. The representative was not helpful at all. She refused to give me a fax number or an email address where my bank could send this form for signature. I asked to speak to a manager. After several messages where taken, someone named Shelly from the cooperate office left me a voicemail stating the same that they could not remove the second authorization and that its not a transaction, but a hold. This angered me because whatever you want to call this "pre-auth of $1190.73", its still holding those funds in my acct. And the actual transaction of $1190.73 had already cleared this was confirmed by my bank and Academy. There was no reason to hold or run the additional pre auth. Once again i called customer service and waited over 45 minutes for a call back. I spoke to the rep with the bank manager in front of me at the bank location and allowed the manager to talk to the rep who again refused to provide a fax number or email in order to get this resolved. The bank manager could see my frustration. Finally the rep from Academy said she would send an email with an authorization code and history of my purchase to my email address, then in turn I could provide this to my bank. My bank manager was present for this conversation on conference call with the Academy rep. It's been over 3 hours and guess what? , no email.so my $1190.73 remains on hold because Academy is still unwilling to provide documentation of my purchase and authorize the reversal of the second pre auth. Today is Thursday, tomorrow is Good Friday. My bank will be closed. I can not even attempt to get my money now until Monday.this leaves me and my 6 children with zero funds over this Easter holiday. My paycheck had just deposited and that's when Academy placed the second hold. Its ridiculous that Academy can do this and keep my money for something I did not purchase. I only purchased one ppol for $1190.73 on 3/24 and I'm still dealing with this.the newest pre auth for $1190.73 just showed up this morning. Its even worse that they are unwilling to correct their mistake by providing a simple fax number or email address address where my bank could send the proper paperwork to get the pre auth removed because it clearly is a duplicate charge. As it stands, academy still has my $1190.73 on hold in my bank acct.this is fraudulent. I am being charged for a product I did not buy.i will be disputing this purchase and reporting the fraudulent activity.thank you for nothing Academy. Now me and kids will not be able to travel to San Antonio to visit their grandparents as planned for the holiday.
