Academy Sports + Outdoors reviews
20Considering that they are a sports store, you would think they would have tall sizes and they don't. Apart from that, the store is very clean but I also could not find a single associate on the floor. ️
Great as always. I am just surprised that they did not carry a better selection of shoe and boot soles
Nice sports store. Has everything you need and a bit more. Order online and curbside pick up.
With the holiday season, they should consider adding more staff. I had a hard time getting anyone to help on the floor. I saw a lot of people unscrambling just like myself.
As soon as we walked in all the employees we ran into were very friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed shopping today at Academy.
Really bad customer service, the young cashier had a really ugly attitude this morning whenever I would ask a question she would stare at me first like she was annoyed then would proceed with something else and I would literally say “hello” then she would answer.
If you do not like your job then quit so you can make room for someone that does and be courteous to customers.
If I could give ZERO STARS I WOULD. If you're looking to purchase golf clubs, don't bother coming here. Lousy customer service!
Store was clean an in order. Had trouble find product. Associate pointed the way. To many Associates standing in little groups talking.
Terrible customer service. I went to the firearms department because I’ve been genuinely interested in purchasing a handgun. As soon as I got there two men were talking and I figured they would atleast acknowledge me when I got to the counter, they continued to talk and ignore me even when I positioned myself directly in front of them. It wasn’t until I was going to take a picture that he exclaimed “you can’t take photos! ” Now I understand this might be store policy however it’s extremely rude that neither them even gave me a passing glance yet as soon as I do something that’s when they acknowledge me and then to not even ask what I was looking for or even converse anything past the scolding they went back to their conversation. Needless to say I’m not my going to be shopping at this academy again
Tried to buy a gun from them. The sales associate was great, went above and beyond demonstrating the weapons and the background check was fast! However, the manager, Jonah, took forever to complete the process of buying. He was rude, threw my paperwork at me and denied my sale because I called him out on his rudeness. Too much power for one guy. Academy should teach their managers to be a good example for their associates to follow. In this case the sales associate was fantastic but the overall experience was horrible thanks to Jonah.
You guys need to get train these cashiers a little more, how is it that I’m waiting in line for 15 min and the line has not moved. This isn’t the first time, this is every time I come to this location. Get it together, I see customers walking out. This location is an embarrassment.
Tons of clearance shoes right now. Limited sizing for smaller kids cleats though. Chloe was absolutely awesome and super friendly. Was able to find what I needed. Pretty busy but not bad. Highly recommend.
I ordered online an outdoor 9' patio umbrella and a base for it. I had bought another one at At Home and paid $40 more for a 7' umbrella and a base. I returned it. I picked it up curbside and saved money. It pays to shop around!
I love this place but you need to bring the employees that just chill in the hallways to open more cashiers.
There’s always long lines
Great sports store on the east side of town. Plenty of variety of brands. Customer service is good. Store is organized & clean. Recommend this place!
Like going there often, my husband and children li kn e buying work boots and running shoes. Very clean organized store ️
Sports Academy Bunch of thives bought some under armour shoes 80.00 discount 70.00.went pay casher she said I get 15.00 dollers of if u apply credit card so I did cualifyed.then she said u don't have to pay now so I said I don't like owe can pay now, she said yes then I got a charge for 90.00 dollars on my credit card. Watch out they like to scam people.
When I used the payment device to get an email copy of the receipt the cashier also signed me up for their spam. When I asked her about it, she said she just had it email my receipt. They need to tell their incompetent cashiers to leave things that are intended for my use alone.
It's ok.
But the merchandise is low in products and the colors, sizes, and looks needs restook this store and refresh on all the store.
My father in law had low oxygen levels and it was past 10pm so I was extremely grateful they stayed opened late during these troubling times. As soon as I walked in, an employee, who was busy, greeted me and directed me to the tanks. On my way to the check out, another employee waved me in to an open register. The cashier herself was extremely helpful and even wished my family well as I was leaving. For the customer service to be that good, during the holidays, during a pandemic, and after normal business hours.shoooootttt, whatever they’re doing down there in academy, KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!
