Academy Sports + Outdoors, Mansfield TX

Tried to buy a gun, made one mistake on the application and now I have to wait a month before I can buy a gun at Academy because of their stupid policy.

The unwillingness of some staff to educate you on the process and purchase left a lot to be desired.

When I went there the employees were so nice and friendly. My mother needed a electric cart and someone was coming out of door with it for her. That was so nice of him. To bad I didn't get his name because I wanted to let him know how he made our trip there so wonderful. Thank you Academy in Mansfield Tx

Ammo back in stock, more variety of guns, more selections, staff very helpful and knowledgeable. There are plenty of bikes, fishing gear, tents, clothing attire, shoes, boots.so much to see so little time. Will return for more ammo.

This store in Mansfield has horrible customer service. You're on your own at this store. No one will greet you or
escort you to a department to help. You've got to find these people!

Overall experience was good until we got to the cash registers.
They had an awesome sale, so we stocked up on items. Most areas were a bit messy, but there were associates attempting to keep it clean & restocked.
The line to check out was short and moved pretty quickly. There was an open register, but the women (redheaded with glasses) ignored the line & we were called to another register after a few minutes. As soon as we were called, the women who ignored us called the people behind us. The young man that rang us up was quiet in greeting when it came time for us to pay he got on his phone, without telling us the final total. We just inserted the card after a moment. After getting the receipt, I asked for one of the items to be put in a bag & he acted annoyed at the request.

I bought a gun from here and the gun bar person was very knowledgeable and had great service. It took me less than 20 minutes and they did a great job escorting me out of the facility.

They have a good selection of shoes and boots. I love the prices on their guns. They have a pretty good selection also.

Store was alright. Employees were helpful. We went for one thing, turf soccer shoes. They only had one pair, in toddlers, and adults. None for kids. Disappointing.

Has all the appeal you can want and a lot of outdoor gear, but you will pay top dollar most of the time. Not the best for firearms. But I've bought 3 from here when there are sales

Always has great deals on anything outdoors. Academy card gives 5% discount on almost everything there. Awesome service at this location as well!

I really liked this store the only reason I won't give 5 stars is all my purchased clothes have holes frm the alarms keep in mind this is athletic wear is thin and the employees need to do a better job on placing this things as we are paying a good buck might aswell buy frm online and not the actual store going forward.

I apologize, I came in to the store to look at a concealed carry 45 also referred to as the commander's fire arm. What I did find after watching 45 minutes trying to make a decision. I picked up a 1911 Kimber full size lightweight with the blue grips. What was really unique was that this Academy had a vast selection of kimbers on hand which is very unusual in itself. They did not have a listing for this particular gun nor did the Kimber website have a listing. It was only in stock for a few days so I did not mind paying a $1000 for it. I am very happy and have only shot kimbers due to their accuracy. Combat if you know anybody in the military or law enforcement they can tell you all about these

Been in this store multiple times now and it always takes 10+ minutes to check out. Had 5 employees come to the front and still only left one register open while all the others just stood around watching.

Always a great atmosphere and wonderful service.
The only problem I have is the refund I requested on Friday still has not posted to my account.

It was pretty quick and easy to find what we were looking for and they were very to fast in checking us out and we had about 3 different people in our group thay were paying for some things.
