Academy Sports + Outdoors, Weatherford TX

This location is fairly new so it really nice. The employees are friendly and helpful. We enjoy going to this location for many different things.

The $1300 pedal kayake we order online for fathers day was missing parts when I tried to surprise my husband on Fathers day. When we called Academy to see what we needed to do we were put in hold and passed around for over an hour. Then hung up on. Done with this place.

Side note the Academy in white settlement was wonderful!

Very poorly stocked shelves. Not sure if there exists a limited supply because of covid or poor management, but they didn't have half of what I went in for. Very friendly and supportive staff though!

Really glad to have one of these in Weatherford. It's very handy although the checkout seems to be a little bit slow

No severe no no help worst store I have ever been in the product is great the employees are so very unhappy if u can find 1 they are unhappy with the management

Friendly staff was easy to buy what I wanted and once they opened all the cash registers those lines went smoothly

Was calling to see if you had received any 30 cal carbine ammo. It took about 10 mins for anyone to answer but was then bounced around the store to 3 other individuals who said " ok let me get you to hunting and guns". This took another 30mins and then after 44 mins on the phone with no one picking up, I hung up and called back again, the phone rang for 8 to 10 minutes before it hung up on me not once but twice. According to your own service chart posted here it should have been an easy task to check the shelf for an answer. A customer on the line is just as important as one in front of you! You have a very young staff there, teach them customer service! And answer the phone!

Great staff, very quick service for an online order and pickup, super friendly management. I drove from Burleson for an item only they had, with service like this, wouldnt mind if I had to do it again.

None of the clothes were under $20 not even the stuff on sale, and they lack a selection for children.

Managers are never around, constantly hearing them complain to their employees about things they themselves should be on top of.they never ever have enough cashiers and frequently i have visited and literally zero people were working in the sports area to help me.avoid.

Love this place just needs to keep up with the bathroom they were nasty n went to pay n he didnt have any change so he told me he could not give it to us if he could give is a gift card of 89 cents I told him its ok and we left

It's always a trial just before school shopping, but Academy died week away keeping the shelves stocked and helping.

My husband likes to get most of his guns and ammo from here. They have great customer service and sometimes they have buy one get one free on their guns!

Cashiers need a lesson on how to treat customers most are to young and have no sense of how to treat customers. The greeter was great she was smiling said hello and ask if she could help

Always love coming here. Most of the time staff is very willing to help you find anything, but once in a while there’ll be an employee that couldn’t be bothered to help. Still a great store nonetheless

Shoes seemed unorganized and the staff cared more about their conversation than helping customers.

The staff here are pretty knowledgeable. Know where things are and even can explain most things.
Where it falls short, is even though this is a sports and outdoors store, us larger folks do shop there too. Outdoors isn't just for size 38 and below. Or 2X and under. Break out the bubble butt clothing already.

Academy is usually a place I go for sporting good needs. The Weatherford location has me concerned. When I gave my ID with my credit card, the employee asked me why! Had to explain so no one uses my card that is not me! "Oh. " Then, no signature was required for a $100+ purchase! Just sayin.be wary

Never had a problem getting my hunting and fishing license here. The camo jackets for kids are expensive here. If you purchase a firearm such as a rifle make sure it is in good working condition before you walk out of the store in hand because of the return policy is not friendly!

The store itself is like any other Academy. However, when I told the cashier that their American flag was on the wrong side of the Texas flag, she said that they knew about it but just haven't done anything about it.
