Addison Grove

My husband and I lived at this apartment complex for 3 years. We were one of the very few first tenants when the complex was first built. We enjoyed our time there. We never had issues with staff and never complained. We were going to leave a great review when we check out, however after receiving our move out/check out fees we were very disappointed. They charged us a full months rent instead of the pro-rated amount that they promised to do. They charged us for a cleaning fee when my husband and I hired Molly Maids to come do a professional move-out cleaning. It was sparkly clean. When we did our walk through at move out, the manager said it looked like no one ever lived in our unit (it was that clean). We have sent our receipts from our Molly Maid service and the apartment still will not respond to us for a removal of that service of our move out fees. We will pay the standard fees, however we feel like they are not being fair in regards to fees that they told us would be dropped.

AVOID! The units themselves are nice but over priced. The best thing about this location was Terre and Steven. Management is terrible and tries to be non helpful. Like they enjoy not assisting. The day I was suppose to move in, my paperwork and apt were not even ready. 3 weeks there, two of my windows were busted in in the "gated garage" they only have cameras on 2 floors, the other two have no survelience. I received no help, they didnt even pretend to care basically said "it happens everywhere included very expensive complexes" It happened all the time. They towed my vehicle from a designated charging station in the garage 6 months in, I also recieved NO help or even a thought. To top it off, on move out came up with some bogus fees that amounted to almost $400. The apartment was cleaned by a professional. They charged me $25 for a bottle that was in the trashcan on the exterior of the unit. Not even kidding. It was always something there with no assist. I would look elsewhere. For the price it isn't worth it!

We just moved out…. Honestly, great property. Staff has always been kind, courteous, and professional with my girlfriend and I. The build-out and design of the units are very modern and have all the features we were looking for. Any complaints we have are with neighbors upstairs but that’s apt living. Great location and nice amenities.

I've loved working with Stephen and Tere. Maintenance is super nice, and the area is great. Overall, it's been a good experience so far.

As someone who pays $2,000 a month for a one bedroom the amount of times there is dog feces in the hallway and animal urine in the elevator is unreal. I am an animal lover and understand accidents happen. The community needs to be holding residents responsible if they have animals in unit. This is absolutely disgusting. They portray a luxury apartment complex but on the inside it is nothing of that nature. The hallways either smell like weed or urine. I have sent management emails with my concerns as there has been other occasions of throw up in the elevator that sat all weekend and received no response.

Do not move here. Lots of break in's inside the parking garage. Often times the security gate is broke for days or weeks at a time leaving no security. All amenities are broke, and have been for over a year. Including all TV's, golf room, A/C in golf room, grills, etc. Hallways are non air conditioned, and smell like urine. Front office is very unresponsive as is maintenance. So, if you want to pay 2,200-4k a month with no amenities or front office help, this is your place.

Editing my review after moving out 2 years later:
Addison Grove was amazing! I miss having that GIANT closet and bright spacious bathroom. It was also very energy efficient. The 2 biggest downsides were occasional package theft and a complacent leasing staff. When I first moved in, everyone was so helpful and proactive. But as I was moving out, I had to ask for information on move out policies that I would have never been told otherwise. I still wasn’t even informed about carpet cleaning that I’m now being billed by Greystar for, but the total bill is reasonable and less than I was expecting, so I’ll give them that. I also referred someone to the community, and they set up an appointment to tour, but then the leasing office dropped the ball and didn’t allow them to tour when that time came. That apparently happened twice. Despite all of that, I never felt unsafe, the apartment was clean and conveniently located, and I had a great experience overall. I still highly recommend.

I am two weeks into my lease and Elan has been a great place to live so far. Leasing agent Rayna is busy but finds time to reply to emails quick and goes the second mile to make things right when she makes a mistake. The apartments are beautiful and very clean upon move-in. Building was built in 2019 and managed by Greystar. Kitchens and closets are very spacious. The noise around my unit is minimal, but I could understand if other residents aren’t as fortunate. Thankfully you can always transfer units if necessary and I trust that Rayna and the rest of the management staff would do what they can regarding it. Trash is valet. Maintenance is prompt and someone from the building comes with them. Amenities are nice and location is good. Parking deck may be hard to maneuver around with large vehicles, but I appreciate the keyless tolltag entry and video conference for visitors. Doors use digital keys and many residents use cameras at their door or inside their apartment. Overall I am very happy with my decision so far. There are some things you can’t get around when living in an apartment, but Elan’s overall value, amenities, and wonderful staff make up for it.

Here to help out the reviews - I haven’t even moved in (yet) but Terry was AMAZING. She took the time to show me all of the security and precautions that are taken at the complex to make me feel comfortable. She was understanding and super easy to talk to. This is the kind of office personnel you would want to call/talk to. We met with Stephen about a week ago and he was also great! Honestly only good experiences so far. We’ll be putting in our application soon!

I lived in Addison Grove in 2021, when it was owned by Elan. Management changed as I was moving out.
Pros:
The rooms and amenities were beautiful and really well kept.
Management was easy to get ahold of.
There was a move-in special that made my first year very affordable.
Cons:
The garage is narrow and you can't see around the corners - I'm surprised there weren't more accidents.
Getting in and out of the building can be tough at times, when Belt Line road gets backed up.
Valet trash doesn't separate recycling.

Common things like noise and picking up packages weren't any worse here than any other apartment complex.

Overall I thought it was a really great building and I was sad to leave.

This place is not safe to stay. Lost multiple Amazon packages and food packages. Don’t really feel safe here staying alone.

Posting after my friend started complaining about this apartment complex. It looks fancy from outside but the management is really bad here. My friends have lost a lot of packages including food. They are really upset about and the management is doing nothing about it. Till date they have lost hundreds of dollars worth of stuffs and they are definitely going to move out this year. They also mentioned that there have been a lot of robberies and they cannot live there without the fear of getting robbed.

Packages have been repeatedly being lost and the management is disinterested in providing any assistance to people who are losing their packages.

For a high priced apartment, the management sucks which perfectly compliments their disinterest when such stuff happen.

They don't provide any assistance with any queries that concern the residents security and livelihood.

NO SAFETY & SECURITY at Addison Grove!
Shocking reports from my friend, a resident here living alone, reveal consistent package losses, including from Amazon and food deliveries, pointing to a grave lapse in security measures.
Worse still, incidents of robberies within the complex have left residents like her feeling unsafe, to the extent that she plans to leave once her lease ends.

I actually considered moving here.then my best friend did and I got a front row seat to what it's like at Addison Grove.and I chose somewhere else.
Dozens of packages stolen, groceries and meal-prep boxes stolen. Stained rugs and funky smells. Also, when people don't feel safe being in their own apartments when they are alone, you know there is a problem.
Thankfully the lease is almost up and there are so many other places that they have looked at that are better.
Don't let appearances fool you! Run!

I moved in about 3 weeks ago and have absolutely loved the complex! The staff has been super welcoming and helpful with any questions. The gym has been a huge hit for me. I can't wait to get more involved.

Such a worst management. Has the audacity to shew the residents off, when they go with complaints. My friend just lost a package and the management didn’t show any concern about it. Neither did they help them about it. And this is definitely not the first time that this happened. This may have been just a package this time, but if the security of the community is the same, no idea what may come in future.
And today my friend was sooo traumatized by the response of the community management that they had to drive off their own house to get some air.

If you're looking for your packages and deliveries worth hundreds of dollars get stolen then this is the place
My friend who lives here is scared for her safety and the management doesn't seem to care
They have filed multiple complaints with their local police and still the apartment management is adamant and unwilling to bring any changes to make their own residents feel safe

The apartment is highly and unsafe and notorious for all of your packages to get stolen. Very uncooperative and rude management who don't not seem to care at all for any of the resident concerns
My friend he feels physically unsafe for all the robberies and thefts going on.
