ADHD Plus: Jeri L Penkava MD, San Antonio TX

I was mad, but now i’m just so disappointed that a doctor would do this, specially a mental health provider.
Took my son for testing, was there for 4 hours, and was told my insurance wouldn’t cover (even though they had said my insurance would cover when i made my appointment) charged me over $700.00 on the spot! Took me over a month of emailing, texting and finally going in person to get my son’s records (they couldn’t even find his chart) then i find out she actually did bill my insurance and had gotten paid for the services. I called, texted, and emailed asking for my refund. She said she would process it, but never did. When i went to her office in person hoping to get answers, the whole place was packed up and closed. Basically gave her every last dollar we had for medical expenses not covered by my insurance (family of 4)
I feel like a total fool! Taken advantage of at a very vulnerable time. Ugh, just so wrong!

To be honest Dr. Penkava is a wonderful doctor my son has ADHD, OCD & Anxiety he feels much better on her medication now.she is very nice, very understanding and so patient.
She is the most doctor that my son feels much much better on her medication.
