The office staff was not very knowledgeable, did not communicate very well nor understand why I was needing to make an appointment. They made the situation very confusing and frustrating. When we arrived at the appointment time, they said they were closed and couldn't see us for another 20 minutes. We sat in our car for 10 minutes for them to figure out why we were actually there. They called us to come back inside.
Once inside, it took almost an hour to get in and out, which should have taken less than 30 minutes.

I went to see Dr. Adrienne concerning potential thyroid issues (a family member was diagnosed a year prior) and she was very quick to assume I just wanted thyroid medication to lose weight, I didn’t catch onto this at first until she suggested I take a smoking cessation drug with the comment “those would help you lose weight too” I never inquired about weight loss only mentioned sudden weight gain as a potential symptom. I told her my nails had developed ridges (she never bothered to look) along with a few other symptoms. She became very focused on my fathers diabetes and kept bringing it up. She asked what my diet was like and what I may over consume I replied I eat a lot of savory food and I probably overdo it in that sector, she felt compelled to ask about sweets for the second time as though my first answer wasn’t sufficient enough. I’m open to getting tested for diabetes while I’m there but she treated me like a simpleton even though I was complying. My blood work came back mostly normal (my cholesterol was a bit high, again, savory foods) I fasted before the blood work but I was told recently thyroid panels are more accurate when you eat beforehand. I’ve developed more symptoms at this point but after waiting a whole month to see a physician the first time just to be completely ignored and told “maybe your skin and nails thing are from an iron deficiency” with the same breath that just informed me my iron levels are normal is extremely discouraging. No wonder people have such little faith our medical system. What a waste of time.
