Advance Auto Parts reviews
19I gave a different location the rating, but either way BOTH locations, including the one on 131 N Gen McMullen were very helpful. The one at 8402 Bandera Rd was great. The tall, hispanic guy that helped me was so polite and very respectful, not to mention handsome:)
These people at Valvoline ON BANDERA couldn't help us at least help ourselves with HEADLIGHTS, but JOSE from ADVANCED AUTO PARTS BANDERA DID! Took the time to come look and help us with simple fix. THATS SINCERE CUSTOMER SERVICE!
Place the order online pickup in the store bad idea and very disappointing. Come to find out the suggestion product online is not the right fit. Which makes it a big inconvenience to the customer, because the money is returned to you 5 to 7 days back to your account. Very very big inconvenience
They were able to match a bolt for me and took the effort to find it, in a bolt carousel, there.
Eric was the best, he was extremely helpful. Eric had went beyond being helpful during my visit, he was very informative and he knows the business. You need to promote Eric immediately.thanks for an outstanding visit.
I walked in to get a battery tested, placed it on the testing counter and waited while the CSR was helping the only other person in the store. 5 more customers walked in during this time. As he finished with the one customer, he assisted the next guy standing waiting for help. Checked him out and helped the next person. While he helped the next person, he looked over at me from his register and said, in a voice loud enough for us to hear, "sir if you need help, you need to get in line over here". I went and stood in line behind 2 others and decided to grab my battery and took it down the street to O'Reilly's. When I walked in there, I was immediately greeted and someone came from the back to help. My son purchased the battery at Advance because it was cheaper than O'Reilly's, but you get what you pay for.
The two staff members who helped me during my visit gave nothing less than an excellcent experience for me. They both are knowledgeable, polite & efficient in finding me a solution for my vehicles problem at the time.
My go to for parts, fluids and Batteries. Been using this location for years and have never been disappointed. Thanks AJ for always being there and so helpful for the last 14 years.
So Sunday, October 3 I went in to replace a battery to my key very young gentleman was very helpful and very attentive to the gas they were all coming in they were two older people who were just so negative about everything there was an employee there by the name of Lisa who was terrible she had a sour attitude and seemed bothered by everyone who walked in and needed help if you ask me as a manager of a business she would definitely not be my employee.on Tuesday, October 5 I went in for a diagnostics and was question very rudely on what it was if I knew I wouldn’t have needed my car to be diagnosed she rudely told me that they couldn’t do it for whatevet reason.seems like she just wants to stand there and get paid. I will never step foot in this place again which is a shame because it is very convenient I’m about two minutes away from my hom. I didn’t asked to speak to any kind of management for all I know she probably is the manager.
Female employee was very friendly and knowledgeable of parts and was helpful to me to find what i was looking for
Walked in the store tonight at 8: 40pm, needed to get wiper blades. Wasn’t greeted, only told the register I was standing at was closed and the only one that was open was the one where another employee was taking a test. Why are you closing down registers and taking test instead of cleaning the store and front facing the aisles?
I asked if they would install the blades, they said, nope. Will be taking my business where they can be kind, courteous, and professional. The closing manager didn’t want to work. NEVER SETTING FOOT IN THIS STORE AGAIN. They conveniently pulled down the district manager and the higher up’s phone numbers that all the Autoparts stores have on the entrance glass. Ever since they fired all the AGM’s and RPP’s Advance has gone down the toilet. Whatever happened to the days of the old Western Auto, where customer service was number one? I Would like a district managers number and let them have it!
Never shopping here again. Go have fun and drink the night away. Smh.
PS—according to the Advance Website they are supposed to install wiper blades with purchase. Here’s What the site says, and I quote, “ FREE INSTALLATION WITH PURCHASE—Not up for changing your windshield wiper blades on your own? Advance Auto Parts offers free installation with purchase (on most models and at most locations). Find your local store here. ”:/
We bought some parts oil filter and oil, and a air filter. The lady gave me the wrong air filter but got the oil filter right, but I had lost the receipt and they had my order on file but said without a receipt they can’t do anything. Store should own up to the fault.
Staff was helpful and price was way cheaper than the dealership. Saved about 200. And they changed the battery for free.
Love the place. But didn't like the way they handle me. Thinking that I was going to steal. When I ask for something said to me we locked them up because people keep standing them
There works a lady called Manda. It will be your worst day if she comes to change your car battery. She don't know any thing about her job. #HR #Advanceautoparts please hire people who have at least an intern level skills. She was lazy. She make me pull the cart of battery from store to outside. Then she told me to pull the battery from my car and put the new one in and she told that it's heavy in the beginning then she told me that to avoid law suits if she damages my car and all she does that to her customer so they do not blame her. She don't even know which way to turn the screwdriver to open the bolts. You guys be aware of this place. She tried to send my wife inside the store to get some stuff which she needed so she don't have to walk inside the store. Never seen this type of lazy person at job
Poor customer service, terrible knowledge of parts and even with the computers they are still in the dark. I will never shop there or at any advance auto parts store because of the way I was treated. I buy and send my customers to advance and yearly I would say we spend over $5,000.
The team here is friendly and extremely helpful. Very knowledgeable staff. No complaints about this place
Great visit, very helpful people. Needed a headlight bulb and they assist with finding right one for mini van
Edward, Dave, and Ruben have been there for the longest time that I can remember and they've always been a great help for me and my family with anything and everything having to do with Auto
