When i first went to Advanced Pain Care i was appreciative of their enthusiasm and kindness and had received wonderful care from Ginny although upon her leaving last year i was put with a nurse practioner who was cold callus not very warm to me now the nurse practioner i am with is worse every visit she has her nose stuck to a laptop screen and seems rather disenguiness discourteous and uncaring as i sat stared her in the face and said im miserable this scs isnt working and that since the install of it i have been suicidal because of pain and no relief she gave a blank stare and went back to staring at laptop screen seems like my concerns arent being heard which hurts

I had a really poor experience. I was treated like a drug addict. Also, one of the procedures she tried to relieve my pain landed me in the ER. I’m still paying for that visit and Dr. Trout showed no compassion or liability for the complication.

I am/was a patient of Dr. Merriman before he joined this group. I started seeing him when Covid started and although I could never get a return call - I always saw Dr. Merriman and felt he cared. Fast forward to today - and I will be looking for another physician. I was not seen by Dr. Merriman but some PA who didn’t even introduce herself to me; let alone act like she cared. She was a petite size woman and was told she was from Austin. I explained how my pain was getting worse everyday - tried showing her where my “new” pain was happening and she never gave any suggestions. She stood in front of her standing laptop table rarely looking up the whole 7 minutes. I was in tears after she left the room because I felt I wasn’t being heard and needed help. The nurse who took me back was kind and was concerned with my O2 levels and my fast heart rate (we got it back to normal - but I am struggling with not being able to breathe due to pain) - she wanted the PA to address it but she didn’t. The nurse who came in after the PA left - sat with me and offered to get her to come back in but I didn’t see the point considering she was no help - other than the step before I could get an injection scheduled. The 2 nurses I encountered were wonderful but the PA should learn a better bed side manner and care. I am disappointed that Dr. Merriman would join this type of group that seems to only care about scheduling the most clients in a day and not truly trying to help.

Leslie has to be the dumbest most hateful person I have ever meet will not be back. Told me I was lying just down right rude. I don’t lie I am not that kind of person.

I can't tell you how snobby Dr. Curry is. Never have seen Dr. Trout, just once. Had to get Steriods shot, Dr. Trout never need consult with me. Take your business to Dr. Hasseloff instead. He is understanding and listens to you. Dr. Curry never did. She would yell at you. I had been going to Dr. Trouts office for 2 years had Dr. Ginny she was sweet but she left.

I can't speak for the doctors because my wife is the patient going here. I would give a no star rating if I could. They did a urine drug test on her to check for drugs in her system before giving her a prescription for muscle relaxers and a cream to apply to her back. We got a bill for the lab urine test for $5274. I called to question the rediculous amount of the charges and was told that is what the insurance company allows them to charge. Insurance paid them $3413 and adjusted charges down $1196 leaving us owing $807 for a $30 urine test. Needless to say we won't be going back there again.

I feel that I’ve found the best group of doctors after moving to the Texas Panhandle area. I had been seen by a prestigious group in Fort Worth for 17 years, but last January Dr. Amanda Trout and Dr. Carey Dwyer started treating the issues aggressively. I’ve been in less amount of pain since my injury 18 yrs ago. The facility is awesome, the people are so courteous. There’s almost NO WAITING time on appts and that’s a big plus in my book. I’m so glad I’ve found this group, thank you!

If I could give a negative I would. I had always seen Ginny or Dewyer? But this time I don’t even know who I saw as they never told me their name. Just said I pretty much didn’t need to be in their care. Asked why something changed, which I had no power over.literally none. Either a doctor did it or a pharmacist did. But I got told that it was me. And than they lessened my meds without really telling me. They barely touched my leg alignment that I’m having.didn’t let me put on a gown and look at it. This place has always had bad front desk service but now this. They care nothing for you. Treat you like crude. Honestly just be kind. No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted!

Dr. Taylor and his staff were amazing. The receptionist was able to get me in quickly and Dr. Taylor explained my situation and answered all my questions. He took as much time to talk to me about my treatment

Dr. Trout Will not listen to your situation nor interested in helping a suffering pain patient. As a long time pain patient and 80% disabled combat vet I was happy to get a full spectrum pain program going. Save yourself the money and move on to another doctor, you will be treated like a number here without any care.

I have never felt more welcomed upon arrival at any Physicians office. There is very little, if any wait, before you are called back and his staff have you in the care of their most competent, loving hands. They are expedient and professional, yet they show just how much they truly care about their patients. And Dr. Taylor, what can I say about Dr. Taylor, he’s a true professional with a great personality and from what I can see, an incredible relationship with his staff. And again, an incredible staff they are! From my first time going in being nervous, to each time afterward becoming more and more relaxed, to becoming completely comfortable with them and trusting them as I trust my family in Christ Jesus and God. Of course, I still pray before I go in and after I come out! ️️️

Dr Trout and staff were very courteous, listened to me without interrupting and quickly ordered testing and scans to see what was causing my pain. I finally have some answers about my pain that no one has been able to give me in 13 yrs. Highly recommend!

Very caring staff and providers. Always accommodating. Never have to wait in lobby, as well as waiting for provider. Plus they have helped my husband and myself so much! Highly recommended.

I’m very disappointed with my care at Advanced Pain Care. I met with Dr. Trout on my first appt who diagnosed me with SI joint pain and encouraged me to get an SI injection. I made the appt to get the injection which I knew the risks of it not working, but the issue was on my follow up appt with Dr. Keri Dwyer I explained I had zero relief, she advised me our next course of action would be to get an injection in the SI joint, I was confused because that’s the procedure I thought we had done the previous week. (I missed a full day of work and it interfered with breastfeeding my little one) She had explained they shot the nerves above the joint and now they’ll try the actual joint for pain relief. I had to pay out of pocket for the injection and follow up appt to meet with Dr. Dwyer for her to tell me we’re going to do the same injection I supposedly got the previous week. ($130.00) I’m very frustrated with this place. Dr. Trout prescribed me a compounded pain cream on my first appt which absolutely did not help, I paid $120.00 for this cream for the pharmacist to tell me after a week of trying it that this cream is not made for the type of pain I’m experiencing and it wasn’t going to help and to discontinue it. I was advised on my follow up appt with Dwyer that a different pharmacy would have compounded a sample for me for $20 to try it out. I was very irritated after all this money had been put towards pain management and I’m still in pain. My follow up appt with Dr. Dwyer was frustrating, she asked if I had my previous back surgeries because of scoliosis. I informed her I was in a motor vehicle accident in 2012 and had broken several vertebrae and needed extensive back surgeries.wouldn’t that be in the patient chart from my previous visit or new patient paperwork? If you want to truly make your patients feel comfortable, at least GLANCE at the chart before stepping in with a patient. I’m very disappointed with this place and will not return. I put my faith in them to help me with my pain and I was let down. I asked Dwyer on my follow up appt if I could at least get my Tramadol refilled to help with pain temporarily until we figure out something and she said she wasn’t comfortable refilling it because its a controlled substance. I’m a medical professional and know the importance of medication safety. I’m not one to complain but this place truly let me down.

The moment I arrived the staff was amazing and inviting. The office was clean and organized well. Your privacy is important to them and it shows in how the conduct themselves. The doctor was amazing and took time to listen without interruption! I will make sure and recommend them!

Since Ginny Burnam is gone, now they have zero interest in treating Chronic pain and only throwing extremely expensive medicine at you that doesn't work. Being a teacher I can't afford the time and money they are now demanding for what is basically tantamount to not getting treatment. Cannot get through on their lines, they ask that they text you to which they don't respond. I will be finding a new pain clinic, this is horrible care.

**Update, just received a $400 revenge bill from this place. They are so petty they didn't even run it through the insurance. I had to call their main billing in Round Rock who agreed that they didn't even attempt to bill insurance and are also making up a charge from July of 2017! First we've seen. DO NOT GO HERE. Petty people, disgusting people.

Dr. Trout was able to replace my spinal cord stimulator battery pack and I am pain free at the pack site for the first time in years! Dr. Trout listened to my complaint and investigated, she foung calcium build up in the area. Other Dr's in Oklahoma had told me it was in my head.

Dr. Trout also treated my migraine headache without narcotics.
She is a miracle worker!
Her staff is top notch, facilities are clean and first rate.

This was my first time to Advanced Pain Clinic and to see Dr. Trout. Everyone was very nice and polite. I will be seeing Dr. Trout again.
