Aegis Care Home, San Antonio TX

Grandma began her care at Aegis in June 2023. She had signs of dementia and sadly it turned to Alzheimers. We had a difficult decision of finding a place to care for her since we no longer were equipped to do so. Our prayers were answered when we found Aegis. This center is a home away from home for the residents. It's clean, well-secured and all services are provided. The owners are kind, thoughtful and always available to the family. The caregivers are supportive, patient and respectful. We were so blessed to have Grandma spend her life in a place where she was respected and cared for as she was. We appreciated the center's accessibility to us and highly recommend it to others looking for care of their loved one.

My mother came to Aegis a few years ago in the latter stages of Dementia. She stayed for a few years. This home was recommended by her gerontologist and he visited his patients here. The care they provided was incredible. Rachel is a nurse and she and the staff were not just skilled but caring. The staff was great, the food was good and my mother was very happy.

Rachel and Nathan treated my dad like he was one of the family. They are kind and loving and pour their lives into the care of their residents. My dad also really enjoyed the food there. I would highly recommend this place.

Our Mom spent the last month of her life here. She lived years with severe dementia at her home but had injured herself in a fall. Nathan and Rachel took such loving care of her and their sweet family brought smiles and laughter that we hadn't seen in years. Truly they are called to caregiving and if your loved one needs a place to be taken care of this place is perfect. The house is bright, clean and comfortable, there is 24 hour care provided, the food is so good too! This was an absolutely "rare find" for our family, and we will always remember you R and N!
