Afrah Mediterranean Restaurant and Pastries reviews
18Excellent service, Manager and Wait Staff impeccable, falafel and chicken shawarma pita sandwich delicious!
The food is excellent as good quality meat, falafel, pitas and salads, and the portions are quite large. There is also a bit of parking in the back and a lot of vegetarian options.
The seating itself is a little worn, the table service can be slightly slow (feels understaffed, not bad staff), and some feels pricey but overall a good and tasty experience.
This knafa it’s not good at all I regret to get it I have ordered some to send it as a gift but it doesn’t even taste or lock like one I came all the way from TN and I never been disappointed like that
Afrah was a delightful dining experience. The food was scrumptious and the service was impeccable from start to finish. The pistachio gelato and baklava were the best end to our wonderful evening.
Met here for dinner and a meeting with some old friends. At first I thought it was a bit pricey but then the plates came. They don't skimp at all. We all left stuffed and with plenty of leftovers. Definitely coming back.
Excellent excellent food, large nice outside area seats (a bit noisy), good service. Will definitely go again when in that area. All the right food staples!
Good Quality, they can do better on the quantity its very less compared to other Mediterranean restaurants but overall the food is very good.
Absolutely the best place for Mediterranean. I haven't had Arabic coffee this good since I was in Cairo. Also the food is beyond awesome. Have the sampler, it gives you a great idea on the rest of the food.
This place isn't just a restaurant, it's a total experience
I want to like Afrah, but the quality just ain't there. Maybe coming from Michigan and being used to Dearborn quality Arabi food, it's just so hard to find that in Texas. Hummus tasted like it was from a can and not fresh. Bread was beautifully steamy, but tasted doughy. Garlic sauce was WAY too strong (I love a good toum, but that was overwhelming). And chicken shawarma was, eh, bland at best. Service took forever, but that's just what it is on a Saturday night with families around. Can't say I'd love to try it again.
We used to go to the old one now it’s bigger and nicer the customer service is excellent. But price is high and food taste changed a lot still is one of the places I like to go to when we be in Dallas. Shawerma was okey and cocktails was not that good but I like my rice pudding
I really like afrah restaurant, this was my first time here we really loved the food and the hookah I highly recommended
What a disappointment, came to dallas to try all the shawarma that i can and this place was the worst. They are using the wrong spices, which aren't even a tasty blend. The garlic sauce tastes like just creamy frozen garlic and nothing what a shawarma sauce should taste like, and if you want the big sandwich with the thin bread they only offer it in wheat which makes the sandwich even taste worse if u don't like whest bread.
If you want shawarma just try anything else, i guess it will be very hard to taste something worse.
Never a bad meal when you visit. Always fresh, tasty, great service, amazing quality. Been a staple for over a decade.
Been eating her for over 16 years and they never disappoint! Miss the old small dine area they had back in the day
Always a regular @ Afrah. I mostly do a take out. Never had a bad experience. I am a big fan of their fries.especially with the garlic dip. The taste is amazing. I recommend trying their pies from their oven section. Really underrated
Our favorite restaurant! Staff is always great, food consistently wonderful. We have been coming here regularly for over 5 years! The akawi cheese pies are a favorite for the kids and the chicken kabob sandwiches are amazing!
If you're going out to a late dinner, this place is waiting for you. My favorites here are the Baba Ghannouj, the Akkawi Pie (so good!) and now, the Lemon Mint Smoothie (see the photo).
So I wanted to try this restaurant for some time and I finally stopped in today and I have to say it was a huge disappointment. Our group tried several different plates and none were very pleasing. We tried the Falafel, the Gyro, Chicken Kabab, Kibbeh, Greek Salad, Fattoush and Baklava. The Greek Salad was very good and the Baklava was okay. Other than that, the other items were so dry and really flavorless. Service needed some retraining as well. Appetizers came after the meal, had to get up 3 times to find our server and all of this at a pretty steep price. Very safe to say that Afrah is off my list and we won't be returning. Very sad as I really wanted to like this place: - (
