Airgas Store reviews
2Wow. I'm a HVAC contractor. I usually get my nitrogen tank exchanges from my supplier, but I was over in Grand Parie and found Airgas close by. I took in my bottle and I asked how much for Nitrogen tank exchange. I was told $40 something dollars, he started looking at my bottle and said that he would have to charge me extra because of the tank I was turning wasn't up to their standard. Right then I just left. That price was highway robbery. Drove 9 miles away traded my tank in for a whopping total of $11.43. Lesson learn don't waste time at Airgas. I don't mind paying extra for convenience, but that price was gouging customers.
I have always get a resolution and help when I go into the local store. Terry was the person onsite and in store that helped me exchange my medical grade oxygen tanks.
Mike the branch manager recommended calling ahead of time to the location to be sure they have the gas you want available as well as the size tank.
The guys in Grand Prairie are helpful and knowledgable. The rest of Airgas should take note of how to treat people.
NEVER USE AIRGAS DELIVERY. I have called several times to schedule a pick (received confirmation number for delivery) of empty tanks and no one shows up or shows up on a completely different day without notice.
Airgas customer service is a waste of time and frustrating and likely they will refer you to the local store. Airgas is making a lot of money by not picking up the empty tanks so the daily tank rental fees keep accumulating. They charge you to pick it up the tanks and they will continue to charge the daily rental fee (even if they confirmed pick up). I have paid them several hundred dollars for rental fees for tanks that were confirmed for pick up.
