Sushi Restaurant Akashi reviews
16All I can think is MEH. Very average at best. If you’re an avid sushi eater and you know what good sushi is then you won’t be satisfied eating here.
Very good but I wish they would add more keto fruendly options (Low Carb & low sugar) including cauliflower rice instead of regular rice.
The food was excellent. The server was very busy and assigned an extra table, resulting in some delays.
The food here is always top tier so are the drinks and the service is excellent. These people have never been rude, always eager to see you happy.
We have been there three times in the past month for lunch and the food has been delicious on each visit. The quality, quantity, freshness and price range.all are excellent. Service was warm and friendly. I have no idea why we didn't try this place sooner, since it is only a few miles from our home.
They never have enough staff. Waited for 15 minutes. No one ever greeted us. Food is decent
I went there last Friday, 9/30/22 6.30p. Nice decor and clean. Server was new, so she was a bit flustered, but service has been an issue the last few times I've been there. Had to keep reminding her to bring our drinks. Ended up going to the bar myself only to find out that they were out of what I ordered. Ordered the sushi combo B.paper thin tuna, salmon, and an avocado roll. We won't be going back.
Lunch specials are freshly prepared, delish, and served at the proper temperatures. Service is fast too!
This is a great place to go get lunch as they have awesome lunch menu. Their hot and sour soup is delicious. The staff is very friendly.
Very very good from Ordering to take home. Everything was Fresh & Tasty as usual! We were very satisfied with our Experience!
The food selections were ample. Clean and nice atmosphere. Few dishes we ordered were good but not excellent. The Japanese Teriyaki dinner tasted very sweet and meant for local Americans taste bud. The waitress Annabell was very courteous and attentive to our orders and served us very well.
Our first time, I believe we will be back soon! The quality of the dishes are very good, the presentation is beautiful!
The atmosphere is super nice, modern and clean! The service is very kind and attentive!
It is a great option in the area, for those who enjoy Japanese and Chinese food, as the menu has an option for both cuisines, this is great!
Thank our waiter for his kindness!
Update: Won't be returning, need to find another decent local fusion restaurant. I called the next day after the events below and the GM told me she would have comp'd us on next visit and would call me back after talking to the staff to see what happened. She didn't call me back. I ordered a few items today (2 days later) with a different phone and name to avoid having someone spit in my food. When I paid, I did claim the offer for the replacement roll. The GM said she was just about to call me.right. I didn't tip which is only marginally satisfying.
Original: I’ve been going to Akashi for years now. We normally do take out for my family on Sundays. Today, I saw an unfortunate series of events, poor management and customer service. After picking up a $130 order, they forgot one entree. How did I find out? I just made it home and received a call. They said I could come back and pick it up, but zero apology. I asked to speak to a manager. Val answered with no apology. Her resolution was for me to come pick up the item ($7.95 + a 45 min drive roundtrip which was a no brainer, no. My whole family was waiting to eat). When I asked if she would offer extra to recover the tip or for my trouble, the answer was no.
My expectation would be that Val should have offered $10 credit (at least). I like this place and always tip 20% on take-out but not anymore. I'll recover the cost to go back and the tip assuming I return.
I've been to 3 different Akashi location on the Northside and this one is by far the best. The spicy edamame was perfectly seasoned while still have some sauce at the bottom to dip it in. The 2 fusion rolls gave me my money's worth and didn't fall apart. The only location I'll be visiting from now on!
Sooooooo gooood! We love this place; their rolls are bar none, fresh, flavourful and pick up is super fast!
