They were very prompt and courteous. The front desk ware very nice and the lady who did my mammogram was very personable and professional. Great first time experience.

From the receptionist to the nurse staff and sonographers, everyone did a lovely job trying to get me in asap and was very kind and attempted to do their best to make me feel calm and unworried throughout. It was my first mammogram and to have it be diagnostic and extra was intimidating but not with these people. Highly recommended.

Took 10 phone calls, numerous voice mails, numerous unanswered texts, and over 30 days before they finally sent the mammogram imaging results.

I wanted to give this place a Zero star. I got my MRI done on Monday morning the 6/19. The technician said my doctor would receive a report in 48 hours. It has been 10 days but there is no report for my doctor. My surgery is scheduled for this Friday morning the 6/30. I have been calling them many times since yesterday. They said my report wouldn’t be ready until the end of the week. There is no one that I can reach out besides the receptionist. She said it was not her control; it was the radiologist. Called the place again this morning, there was still nothing, no report for my MRI. It’s ridiculous! I got so mad and stressed out.
Everyone should stay away from this facility place.

Staff was nice but the facility was run down and ill equipped to perform the MRI that was ordered. Test was stopped after 45 minutes of me laying in the tube.

Took my 77 yr old mom. Tech was very rude. They ran an hour behind! Then rude about it. She didn't explain OR talk to my mom at all during the whole process.

This is my second visit. My appt was at 9am. I arrived at 8: 56 to an empty reception desk. A few minutes later, the technician came to give me paperwork to complete. After paperwork was completed, I waited close to 30min before being called back; I was the only patient at the time. While the sonography tech was great, I don’t understand the wait time.

Very difficult getting reports sent to doctor or other facilities. Multiple calls from myself, my doctor and another imaging place. And they don’t pick up the phone. They don’t confirm reports we’re received and as the patient I have had to run them down 2x.

I was very unsettled about going for the procedure after hearing so many stories about how mammagrams are so painful. But the from the receptionist to the tech they were so nice and attentive to not just myself but all of the patients coming. The tech spoke to me from Starr to finish and made me feel so at ease. And guess what folks it didn't hurt one bit! The pressure is just the same as the slit tug we women do adjusting ourselves when laying on our stomach and lifting up! Thank you for your patience with me! This is an amazing location everyone!

This provider cannot be trusted. In 2019, I had to have a sonogram, and they charged me TWO $40 copays, because the location of the sonogram hit two different areas of my body. Turned out, they can't do that, but they made me work HARD for that $40 credit. In March 2020, I had a CT scan, I paid a $500 copay. My insurance requested additional info from the provider, and by the time they provided the records to my insurance, I had already met my full out-of-pocket max. So my insurance paid the ENTIRE bill, including my portion of $500, which I had already paid.but Preferred Imaging, now Akumin, said nothing to me about it. I only found out because I called my insurance over a $500 discrepancy, and this was it. So, I called Akumin about it this evening, and they are supposedly going to have to do a "deep dive" because this procedure is somehow attached to two INDEPENDENT & FULLY PAID services from the year prior. I hate this provider and I will never, ever use them again. Somehow, they always end up sticking it to me, and I have to fight and fight to get my money back. Find a different provider; one with integrity and who is capable of managing their books professionally.

***UPDATE***
I posted this review on Friday, 12/18/2020. As I said, the guy I spoke with, Chris, said he had to do a "deep dive". When I followed up on Wednesday, 12/23/2020, I spoke to a very helpful young lady who confirmed the refunds owed to me. Unfortunately, I had to explain the whole story over to her from the beginning because Chris did not even notate that I had called on the 18th (I actually called twice, because I got disconnected after he had me on a very long hold). So how's that? Dude who said he had to do a deep dive never bothered notating my account.

As for the owner response that follows, downplaying my "frustration" over having to follow up over a "billing error", this was not simply a billing error. You first billed me for an additional copay in 2019 that you were not supposed to charge me for and made me fight and fight in order to get it back. You also held onto $500 of my money for months, without ever attempting to return it to me. I work in a financial institution, and I understand how book keeping works. One or both of these errors should have been caught. Had I not kept meticulous records and realized that there was a discrepancy, you would not have returned my money to me. Don't downplay what I had to deal with when you all make getting my money back as painful as a root canal without the benefit of novacain.

I have now been to multiple Akumin locations in the area to have an MRI performed and the equipment is always broken causing me to have to further delay the MRI. This has been going on for about a month now.

At each location they do not tell you ahead of time, but instead wait until you arrive to let you know their equipment is down. Incredibly unprofessional.

There are plenty of imaging facilities in the north Dallas area, this is one to definitely avoid if you’re looking to have anything done in a timely manner.
