Al Biernat's reviews
25Great brunch and service! Myself and 3 girlfriends enjoyed our Sunday there! Recommendations around the table about this place!
The ambiance was great. Hosts and what seemed to be managers on the floor were very friendly, unfortunately my server was very disappointing and the food was lacking. I can't remember his name, he had a red beard and not friendly. My child was attempting a friendly chat with him about the menu and the flat look on his face and zero response was all my kid needed to stop talking. I gave him a second chance in the off chance that he didn't hear my child talk about an item on the menu, he gave me the same blank look with a half smile and asked for our drink choices. At that moment I should have left, but it was Mother's Day at 1: 45PM and every restaurant was booked and I had had a reservation that I really wanted to enjoy. I tried to be positive and even spark up a light conversation about what he thought would be a great item to try as it was my first time at this restaurant, again a smug response. I thought the food would make up for it as I've heard rave reviews. No, our food was mediocre at best, maybe the chef was rushed. With the amount of money I spent that day, I was beyond disappointed!
Food and service are wonderful. The ambient noise was quite high. Very energetic vibe but tough for conversation.
Well-organized for Mother’s Day brunch. Food was great. We got seated on time and didn’t feel rushed even tho we were limited to 90 minutes for the seating.
This place is everything you would expect from a high-end steakhouse (AND MORE). Friendly, organized & professional staff. Great menu selection. I had the Oscar filet and it was perfect - one of the best I've ever had - veggies were HUGE and cooked right. Clam chowder was rich & hot. Crab cakes appetizer were very good - great stone ground mustard sauce. Busy venue but they move people and food around the right way. Extensive wine & spirits. Make a reservation. Put this one on your list if you're looking for an amazing dining experience in Dallas! Thoroughly enjoyed - great job!
The best thing about Al Biernet’s is the impeccable attention to detail in their service from all members on staff. The food is amazing as well, but the service elevates this restaurant to a whole different level and will keep me coming back. The timing of service, attention to detail of cleanliness of the table, excellent recommendations from the server won me over completely.
The place was noisy like a school cafeteria and i wanted my steak well done, not burnt! My mother not my brother was satisfied either.
Nice & popular place. Food is excellent, clientele is young & good looking people. Of course prices are not reasonable. A dinner with wine is upwards of US$200 per person. But don't let that keep you away. Go an enjoy.
Wagyu N. Y. Steak strip was delicious. Service was impeccable and really enjoyed every part of dinner from the welcoming to drinks and appetizers and desserts. The experience was flawless for a party of 14 and the environment was great.
Always fabulous cocktails, ambience and the center cut filet is out of this world! A classic in dallas.
One of my favorite restaurants. Always accommodating. Sometimes, I think they keep the kitchen open late just for me. Great pour from the bar. Food is excellent and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Totally professional from top to bottom. They just went through an exterior renovation. Very nicely done.
Usually great food and varied selection. Wait staff also attentive and knowledgeable. They have expanded the restaurant, so can get a little noisy when it's full. Quality may also suffer slightly when the restaurant is busy, as they try to keep up with orders.
Had the Prime Rib, it was very tender, but could use a little more seasoning. But overall it was a good dining experience. Nice atmosphere and excellent service.
The waiters' attention to us at our dinner there was truly remarkable. Despite how busy they were tending to their regular service of us, they quickly responded to the small things. Specifically, while the waiters were fulfilling guests' many requests of wine orders, I asked for a cup of coffee for whenever they had time to get it to me. Seconds later, I heard one of the waiters telling another that I would like some coffee. In about a minute, the coffee was delivered with much grace. I did not anticipate such speedy service, when wine service was the clear and understandable focus at that time. I was very impressed and thankful for that attention.
Although the metaphor "melts in your mouth" seems to be commonly used and I feel to be not so meaningful, I found that saying nearly to be literally true with regard to the steak served. I have never had steak that was so tender and tasty as that was. It was absolutely remarkable.
Further, the Macaroni and Cheese was spectacular. I do not recall ever tasting Mac and Cheese tasting that good.
I absolutely love the food here. The prices can get a little high and the noise level is sometimes much louder than you would like for a classy, expensive evening. The service is generally pretty good. The best steak I have had in Dallas has been here. The fish is pretty good as well.
Love Love Love. The ceiling over the bar. Dont ever change it. Wonderful work of art. Food fantastic. Wait staff superb. Thank you.
We have dined here many times over the years. The atmosphere is always lively, especially on Friday and Saturday evenings. It's very much the Dallas scene, and I mean that in a good way. Wait staff is always outstanding. For apps we recommend the smoked duck and rabbit sausage. Wild boar chops are good too. On our most recent visit we all had to send our steaks back, as they were all very much overdone. My filet was still overdone a second time. The third time the chef over-corrected and the steak I ordered rare arrived refrigerator cold-a few degrees above freezing-in the center, instead of cool as it should be. So I sipped a glass of wine while it warmed to perfect on my plate. Even the best places can have an off night. Not that we needed more food, but the creme brulee was impossible to refuse. We all shared and it was very good. We'll be back for sure.
The Easter menu was limited. Huge party ruined the ambience. Really cold temperature. Food was good. Service was great. Our 1 to go order didn't have the sauce that made the dish.
Well worth the price but come hungry and with big appetit. Atmosphere was great even if fairly loud but it makes the place feel alive.
The food was great! The service was good. I think the Spring Valley location had great service!
