Al Markaz Groceries And Restaurant reviews
17Very disappointed with the Manager ‘s attitude today when i complained about the tandoori leg to be replaced as it was burnt, without taste and hard to chew. The manager has the audacity to say it’s like this in the Tandoor and some pieces will be burnt and they cannot do anything about it. I had tried to take a few bites to see if it was at all eatable and only complained when it was not at all eatable. I have been a regular customer at Al Markaz for over 14 years and never had this kind of a customer service from the Manager Very very disappointing - completely spoilt our evening!
Good food so kudos to cooks. Reasonable priceces, so kudos to the owner. Very courteous waiter too.
So why 4 stars instead of 5? The store closes at 10pm, but staff made faces when I entered at 9: 15. They told me to hurry. Then they started pacing around me impatiently as I ate, to see why I was taking that long to eat. They started brooming around and turning chairs upside down watching me.
I finished my food in a hurry and they immediately started shutting down lights. I went to the grocery session and as I was shopping the girl signalled others to shut the lights. (Although she could see I was shopping).
By 9: 50 they were out. Good food, good price, good waiter, but outright rude staff that spoiled my dinner experience. Would never go there again.
Awesome Pakistani restaurant with delicious food. I had goat Karahi from them, and it was awesome. It has a minisupermarket also of its own, so a one-stop shop for everything you need. And it was very economical to eat portion size was good too
This review is not for the restaurant but for the grocery store. If you want to get the best meat which is not frozen then this is the place
Food is not good waste of money. Samosa chat is good. I will prefer egg and bread on Al Markaz food
THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED (for the worst) they have a new look but food has changed as well.
The Biryani we got was DRY, it did not have any masala no taste, Bhuna Goast was bland no masala NO TASTE, even the NAN bread was horrible YOU NEED TO GO TO AL KAKAB RESTAURANT FOR GOOD FOOD.
This RESTAURANT HAS EITHER CHANGED COOKS AND OWNERS or just the cooks.
NEVER GOING BACK WASTE OF MONEY FOR GOOD BIRYANI GO TO SUBZI MANDI THEY MAKE THE BEST BIRYANI IN TOWN AND HEYZ HAVE BIRYANI ON THE BUFFET AND IT"S $ 7.99 cannot beat the food and price.
Mix Chat and Dahi Bhallay were good. Doesn't show any Hand Slaughtered Halal Certification though, so avoid meat.
Very poor service not a clean restaurant they don’t have any prayer area or prayer rug don’t know if they serve zabiha halal or not.
Not my favorite place not recommended.
One more thing in there menu it’s say’s Brain masala but this is my third time they never have that available.
Chicken was too salty
Used to come here with my dad for chai lol. I should’ve come here more when I lived closer. The falooda next door is also divine.
You guys either need t9 fix your timing or start receiving calls for order called 7 times in a row nothing just on hold
This place is like old faithful, delivers good food everything. Will most definitely recommend for casual everyday dining.
Worst customer service ever.the owner has an ego.very very rude.we came all the way thru irving to shop but his tone of the voice is rude.this store will not last too long if he talks with customer rudely
This restaurant/market has hygiene issueseverything was super dirty no proper customer service either do completely self service or give service it's in between I had mix chaat, samosa, nihari it was below below average and I had stomach ache after. Poor hygiene everything was dirty.
Ordered take out on a Sunday evening and a lotta things on the menu weren’t available (that’s possibly a sign that they prepare everything fresh) It’s a restaurant inside a desi grocery store so don’t expect much in terms of the dining experience because it looked quite noisy. We ended up getting Mutton Biryani and Sev Puri and honestly they were both sub-par in terms of taste. Biryani was quite oily for my liking and it was just rice with hardly any protein (meat) in it. I’d like to think they’re good going by the number of people that were there.
Ordered take away chicken biryani and chicken karahi.had high expectations but the food was stale. Mango Lassi tasted good but was watery.
I’m
Pura mood kharab kar diya
Visited this spot after 15 years. Great food and fast service. A decent dining experience with a better ambiance.
I am not sure what the hype was all about. Family and friends in Dallas highly recommended their bhuna gosht and karahi. We ordered these items along with pani poori, kabab roll and boti roll. Karahi didn't deserve to be called karahi. It was just another meat dish with lots of gravy. Same with bhunna gosht. The rolls were ok.
