AL Quick Stop reviews
15Just moved into the neighborhood. Order DoorDash today. Decided to treat myself. First time trying this restaurant. I ordered the Gyro sandwich and Gyro plate. I felt the love ️ in the food. I haven't felt that since before the pandemic. I will try this again!
Want some good food at a decent price? This is your place! Can recommend the chicken shawarma. Sometimes they forget to add the sauces that are supposed to be "on the side". Still not too bad tho.
I was surprised how good the food they have tasted! Like really amazing! I think they just need some work on the way this place looks and some more commercials or something because their food is incredible!
Not the same as it used to be. Terrible beer selection, they don't restock the cigarettes, and they used to have the best fries in town, now they are soggy and flavorless. Every single thing that used to make this place great has gone downhill. No more American music playing on the speakers, it's all Tejano all the time now. I miss my friends. R. I. P. Al's. Been coming here for almost 20 years. I used to get dinner here at least once a week, but their food is not the same since they got the new crew. The love is gone, the new crew doesn't take any pride in the place or the neighborhood at all. The food isn't terrible, gyros are still pretty good, but the fries aren't the same and the friendly neighborhood bodega vibe is dead. If you're not from the neighborhood and you haven't been coming here forever you probably will think it's great, but neighborhood people know better. It used to be legendary.
Stopped by here with my girlfriend for a Saturday lunch. Chicken Shawarma was extremely dry and had no flavor. 2/5. Hummus was average but decent. 3/5. Gyro sandwich with tzatziki and fries was good. 4/5.
I can recommend them for gyro but that’s about it. Not a bad place, just average.
It’s a hole in the wall type of place. One side of it is like a convenient store and the other is a small restaurant. We got the chicken shawarma and gyro plate. The food was great and had good portions. Unlike other Mediterranean places, the price wasn’t ridiculously priced. Overall great place and would come again.
I ate the chicken shawarma bowl before I took a picture. It was delicious. Good people there.
The food is too good for the price. The giro quesadilla is great. I didn't expected yummi food in a place that looks like just a convenience store. The guys at the counter are very nice.
The food here is so delicious and authentic Mediterranean. My favorite is the chicken shawarma, cauliflower, hummus, and cucumber salad. I absolutely recommend Al Quick Stop!
Love the food. The woman at the counter however has horrible customer service. She yelled at me for ordering over the phone instead of online and made a scene about it in the store. Will not be going back.
If I could give negative stars I would. The food is garbage and they price gouge on everything. Avoid at all costs and go literally anywhere else.
Ridiculously good. I could eat this everyday wish there was more bread though. Incredible quality food and the restaurant is very clean.
I eaten here over a dozen times in the past few years. Food is great and consistent. It’s open late. Chill people who work here. A+
The red sauce is killa!
So nice to see places without the “Heights” vibe taking over completely. AL Quick Stop has been around for a good amount of time and there’s a reason for it, it’s great. The lamb gyro has flavor, juices, and a soft pita that all complements each other.
Falafel sandwich was okay, the falafel was fried to order but the sandwich was dry. The place needs some TLC and is not appealing to sit down and eat when the tables face the detergent isle. The isles need to be reorganized where food isles face the dining area. I wish the meat was halal like most middle eastern places.
