I just recently bought a car from them on August 19 and when I paid for it the girl told me it would take maybe 2 weeks to get the title since they don’t have it it's now November and I'm still waiting I've been calling them about it but I can never get updates on it all what they tell me is “ok, we will call them and let them know” from whoever has the title

Good selection of cars every auction. They are used cars from perfectly working to cars that don't run at all. It's an auction so do your research on the car before bidding. Nice thing is you can inspect the cars days before and the day of auction. Once you purchase it's smooth sailing from there.

I bought a car at one of their auctions a few months ago. It was a 2009 Kia amanti that was said specifically to ‘run and drive’. Wouldn’t have got it if it hadn’t said that. So I go to get it and get the keys and title. Upon inspecting the car I noticed that there were 2 small screws with 2 bolts inside the cup holder. Nothing else. Under the hood everything was clean except for around the engine there seemed to be what looked like oil built up and the engine cover was not secured by anything. It just rested atop the engine loosely—guessing maybe there was a crack or other issue but couldn’t be sure. The lady from the office gave it a jump for me, then went back inside. I sit down in the drivers seat and I look down at the pedals and there is only the e brake off to the left and one brake pedal. No gas pedal. At all. Confused af, I poke around a little more and on my phone verified that there are indeed supposed to be a brake and gas pedal… I just couldn’t believe what I was seeing and wanted to be totally sure it wasn’t me just being ignorant. But where the gas pedal should’ve been there was just nothing. No arm no pedal just nothing at all. It clicked in my brain that maybe the 2 screws in the cup holders probably went to the pedal, whatever pedal they likely used to shoot the video they’d posted of it driving forward and backward on the auction that I’d bid on. I almost arranged for a tow truck to come and get it for me but my gut was twisted n screaming not to go through with it. So I cancelled the tow truck and hesitantly went back to the office and asked one of the guys there sheepishly whether he happened to know whether the amanti had a gas pedal or not. He said he didn’t know. So I explained that despite their refund policy, I’d only bid on the car because it said it ran and drive, it said it on the invoice as well and there was literally a video of it driving posted on the lot info page. Since it does not in fact have any ability to run and drive, I asked what options I had. He told me they could probably put it up in the next auction for me. So he went and arranged that with the lady in the office. She told me that they don’t usually do that but would make an exception. I told her sorry I had just thought that since it said runs and drives id just assumed that it would be runnable and driveable. And would consequently have a gas pedal. And thanked her for making the exception. The car was to be in the auction the following week and I was told I’d get the check for the winnings minus their fee and it would be mailed to me. I called a month later and was told the checks should be ready the next Monday. Come Monday and I was told to call her again Thursday. When I did I couldn’t get an answer. The next week Monday I called and left a message requesting a callback with info and never received any answer. I currently am now out of over $2000 and had been doing what I could to accept that I was to be getting only less than half of that back, but by this point I’m feeling like I was probably just robbed virtually point blank and doubt I will see a dime from these people. To boot now I don’t even have the lemon of a car to show for it. Bid at your own risk. These people appear to be straight up scammers and I’ve no idea how they have maintained so long while running this sort of blatantly dishonest business practice. Don’t be fooled by their presentation and don’t believe a single word they say to you whether it’s on their website on the auction catalog or directly to your face. Wish I’d never even heard of Alamo Auctioneers. I would have been a lot better off to say the very very least.

They sold my car on August 5th and said payment would be ready by end of August. It's almost the end of September and not only is there no check, but they no longer answer their phone. They are total frauds - you should not give them any business.

This place is worthless! I bought a car over two months ago in July and had to wait a week for the title to come in. Once it came in, the title was wrong and had to be sent back. I have called every week since then and nothing. 11 weeks and I keep getting excuses of having more auctions, but they can not take care of customers from auctions before the current one. Without the title the car is just sitting in my driveway. WORTHLESS like this business!

Good people to do business with. In depth information on the product before auction, quality pictures online, and easy to process transactions.

The auction seems to be have done right, place a bid on a vehicle, pay the amount you won it for and BAM, take it home. Pretty quick and easy. Almost 100% of the vehicles that were bid on started and drove away that same day. Great staff!

I've reached out several times letting them know that I didn't bid or register to bid on any vehicle. I received what seemed to be an invoice in my email, but I have not bid on any vehicle. I've called and emailed, but no one has responded. The invoice seems to be some type of phishing scam as I tried to open it to get more information to respond, but whatever it is it's corrupted.

Update. I called on 12/18 and spoke to an employee over the phone. I was told that they have had several people call about phony invoices and that it was not them sending the email. I was told that someone would reach out to me by Wednesday or Thursday as they could not address the issue as they were holding an auction that day (Saturday).
