Alamo Cafe reviews
18Delicious food with a casual comfortable atmosphere. Delicious homemade tortillas chips, nice and thin, fresh. Our waitress Dominique, was a delightful person. Friendly and fun. She was very busy but went out of her way to be sure we had everything we needed. I can't believe I hadn't been here before, but I will be back again.
The food was good. The tortillas were really good. The place was clean with a nice ambiance. Our server Dylan was top notch.
OK this place is a nightmare with prices.
5.50 for 1 fajita taco
Tiny margarita glasses
Service is slow. Not good Mexican food.
One of the best Mexican restaurants in town. Always bring our out of town guests here. Never disappoints!
Hi everybody what made our trip extra great tonight while we were at Alamo Cafe was our waitress her name is Kelli she gave outstanding service you didn't have to ask for anything. And the food was pretty good I love flour tortillas. But will be back again and I hope kelli is our waitress.
Love the chicken fried steak it's the best in San Antonio. Tortilla are also cheap and very delicious! By the way I am a diabetic so it's a treat when I go! But all month I was waiting for this day to eat there! Worth it
We showed up kind of late and we felt bad for coming in less than an hour before close. The service was still amazing despite us coming in late. The food was still fresh and delicious the tortillas are so delicious especially dipped in the queso
Edwin was an excellently attentive server with courteous charm & food was great too.will definitely return to this location even tho it’s smaller than the 281 store
My Family loves Alamo Cafe alway a must stop when we are in San Antonio. Food is always delicious and the home made tortillas are amazing.
Drinks and food were great! We sat at the bar and the bar tender wasn’t around all the time. She was taking care of other tables and stuff. So the speed of service was a bit slower than other places. Not her fault. I’d still go back
It was OK. Did not like their chips or the corn tortillas with my chalupa. Too tough or stale.
We were seated quickly, service was good. As always, the tortillas were delicious. Our food was delicious and the servings were more than adequate.
Thought this place was going to be good, but it was bad. We ordered 2 trio fajitas for 2 people. We asked the waiter how much meat is on the plates, he stated a pound. When they brought us 2 plates, it was enough for one person. The waiter was like that's not enough and brought out a plate for one more person and said I'm not going to charge you for this. Like he did a good deed. The plates he brought had like 3 pieces of shrimp, chicken, and steak. We left out hungrier than we did when we entered. We asked for a manager. Finally after 30 minutes, a manager came and confirmed that we should have had more. He stated that he would refund us a trio. The best thing about this place was the Dr. Pepper.
The cheesecake had a strand of hair in it, the chips were stale, the tortillas were simply reheated, and the rest of the food was very cold. I'm highly disappointed after hearing so many great things about this place.
Last visit very disappointed ordered chicken chalupa plate and after three tries still no chicken. My fajitas were over coined. Mgr.made it rite
The food was unseasoned and the taken Mexican food was disrespectful. Our server was good. The food portions were for a child.
Great wait staff. Food not good at all. I will give it to them on their home made tortillas and cheese sauce, but over priced food for not good food. ZERO stars.
