Awesome theater with excellent service. The tables are bigger here than from other Alamos, so it is perfect for shared meals or snacks. The audience was more into the film, so it made the experience more fun.

I love coming to this Alamo Draft house. It’s always clean and the food is great. It’s also near a lot of great shopping so my daughter and I can make a day of just hanging out in the area before or after the movie.

My first choice when seeing a movie with the family, friends or solo. Loaded fries and a milkshake? Yes, please!

When we come to Austin, we know we will visit the draft house. Great atmosphere, clean, great food, Great staff.

They're great, the service is awesome and popcorn is fresh. They also don't jam in seats so the front row is still far enough away to see the whole screen.

Be advised, they add an 18% service fee to concessions. This is in place of a tip so you don't have to tip on top of that. It's just a little shocking when the bill comes around. They servers work hard so I'm not complaining about the fee, it just takes some getting used to.

Terrible. Service was so terrible that we asked for the 18% gratuity to be removed. Manager said that it was not gratuity and was a required service charge per the company policy. That's illegal and will be disputing with bank. They also taxed on that, which again, if it's for staff or gratuity, you cannot do! You can not tax on service!

Then why does it say no need to tip? I also asked for a cocktail that never came so I proceeded to the bar due to the terrible service. The bartender informed me that I was cut off. Excuse me, I had 1 alamo spritz. I guess I'm too drunk to write this review same day! Not sure what the issue is with Alamo, but we were just about to buy the 19.99 movie passes for 4. You have lost our familes business forever! Flix Brewhose is where it's at, service is amazing, and they don't cheat people!

I bought my ticket online and when I got there, in the bathroom, there was a sign that said they will add an 18% gratuity to my purchases. They charged me $7.60 for a coke without alcohol in the bar and that included a 18% gratuity. I asked the manager why I should get charged 18% gratuity no matter how bad the service is and why was this policy not on the website? She lied and said it was on the website. These signs were all over the bar and the ticket counter. The manager said if I have a problem with the service let them know. I got very upset. I told them it was not fair. Stay far away from Alamo Drafthouse. There are many other places in Austin to watch a movie without getting ripped off.

We utilize the Alamo pass and it has come in useful in these hard economic times. While the prices here do seem a bit high, I understand that this is a unique experience. Alamo Drafthouse has been my go to theater franchise for years. It's clean and comfortable with nice and pleasant staff.

Where to start?

Had tickets for the Metallica show on Sunday night with my son. Things started out all right but then went to hell at a hand basket. First off we didn't get drinks for at least 15 minutes because apparently the printer went down. I received my food first and then my sons came 15 minutes after. The couple next to us who are sitting in the wrong seats decided to drink heavily. The lady next to us had at least between 8 and 10 beers and she only appeared to weigh aporox.a 120 pounds. The server kept serving her drinks over and over. Then she proceeded to get up and make a fool of herself by yelling and cussing and throwing her hair around and jumping up-and-down and acting like an idiot. Finally after an hour plus the manager came and told her she needed to sit down and took her beer away and gave her a water. She was well intoxicated before the show started and Alamo drafthouse kept serving her drinks.

My son who had his seat next to her had to endure the whole fiasco all night long with no apology until the end of the show from the manager or the server. Upon leaving I told the manager point blank to his face that his server overserved that lady. We told the manager she drank at least 8 to 10 beers while we there and he said no it was like 6 to 8 but then he stopped talking. At that point he knew he was sunk. At least he came and had her sit down but that didn't really matter much at that point.

It just so happens my son works for the TABC so…dont know what to tell you.

I have not been back to Alamo drafthouse in years and now I understand why I didn't go back until now. I know there are precautions to be taken for scenarios like this but they didnt happen that night. I'm sure there will be other posts from other people complaining, especially for the people that were sitting below her having to listen to her yelling obscenities and throwing her hair around and getting it in everybody's food including my sons.

A simple apology by the manager at the end of the night certainly will not suffice.

I like the Alamo but lately the food has been bad. Ordered a pizza last night and it was absolutely terrible. Also, the seats are torn up and uncomfortable

What happen to service? Alamo had gotten very comfortable adding illegal 18% service charge even when service is bad. Manager refused to adjust.

The sound on the Barbie movie was absolutely mind-blowing. Was that 9.1 or something more? So perfect! And the service for food & beverages was stellar. Not only steller, but silent.or quiet! Excellent! So glad we came to this place to watch that movie.

I say this with love.please pull yourself together Alamo. I've been coming to this theater for 6 years and it's absolutely a favorite place to spend an evening for me. The Alamo movie experience is always great; I love that there are no commercials before the show. I love that there are no children. I love that people have to be quiet with their devices turned off. The problem is everything else, unfortunately.

I used to always go to Alamo for dinner because you could count on some pretty good chicken tenders, pizza, or burger. I can't count on that anymore. Last three times I've been here, the food was barely warm and way overcooked. Just generally bad quality. Thumbs down.

I used to always order a few drinks with every movie, because that's what you do at Alamo. Unfortunately, past two times I've been here it took roughly 30-45 minutes (!) to get my drinks delivered to the table. Having to flag down a waiter to re-order drinks I already ordered is another thumbs down.

I don't know where Alamo went wrong here, but it's really sad to me. Used to be I could get some chips and queso and a beer 5-15 minutes after sitting down, well before the movie even started. Used to be the food was still warm and the drinks were still cold when they got to you (and nothing was overcooked). Please work on yourself Alamo!

Great place to grab a bite, avoid the heat and enjoy the latest films to hit the cineplex. Highly recommend the carnivore pizza and the philly cheesesteaks. Long live Alamo Drafthouse

Watched Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with my 5 year old son. The first time he didn't fall asleep during a movie in the theater. Ordered special TMNT pizza and drink. Glad that Alamo also included old-school ads from the 80-s as a special about ninjas.
