ALDI, Houston TX

Love hate relationship with Aldi. I love the affordable prices and good customer service. I hate that sometimes the meat is less than fresh. I brought home very slick chicken breast and salmon today. I didn't notice the darker hue due to the stores lighting. I just think that when good stores move into certain neighborhoods, where people rarely complain they get relaxed on quality. I think this is the issue with this Aldi location. I won't be buying meat.

I found everything on my list from the weekly ad except the lemon's. I was able to get in and out of the store under 20 minutes. The store is clean and everyone was friendly.

Customer service was horrible and there weren’t enough carts. I had to get a cardboard box to carry my groceries in and it was very heavy. Checking out, I had to carry several heavy bags out to my car by myself because the staff refused to let me use the cardboard box to make it easier. I’m only giving it another star for its cheap prices. Nothing special about this place.

Pros: Sensible friendly team member, low prices, good selection.

Recommendation: please update the parking lot

Aldi has surprise every time I visit different store. This surprise was in store on Beechnut st. /Bissonet st.
Very good body fat scale. Find data on website. Ad the price is real bargain: $15. For that scale with so many options, this is a real surprise. There is a picture, too.

Friday at Noon was a good time to shop. It was not busy. Aldi's is stocked for the Holidays! Wonderful cheeses, imported salamis, jerky, etc. ; specialty jams & jellies, candies, beautiful breads & pastries, wines plus many novelty gifts. Love shopping at Aldi's. I wish one would open in Westbury/Meyerland.

Small grocery store with good variety. Low prices on quality store brands. Bag your own and bring your own shopping bags. Need a quarter to unlock shopping cart but get it back when you return cart it to store.

By far, the best grocery store. Continuously saves me money and has a wide selection of somewhat Niche products. Love it.

VEGAN POST: The organic produce here is good, but you have to catch it on the right days (close to delivery). There are some good sweet-and-sour and teriyaki sauces near the produce isle. And the vanilla almond milk is delicious, it goes great with coffee, juices, and smoothies.

The cashier swiped a more expensive item multiple time and didn’t swipe the cheaper item enough, resulting in me paying $10 for what should have been closer to $7.
The wait for the cashier is long even if there isn’t a long line. And if there is a decent line then you better be ready for a wait.
This place isn’t worth it, you’ll lose any saving on cheaper items and end up paying more anyways due to the cashiers errors.

Update:
Aldis definitely doesn't thrive on good customer service around all of its stores. New employee at this location (he has that Don quijote vive) is super rude! He acts like he definitely doesn't want to be there.go home and look for a job with no human interaction if you're that unhappy.

Prices are okay for the most part but their cashiers need customer service training! Always in a bad mood, no eye contact, won't greet you! Just horrible

Should have more employees, business should not be all about more profit by cutting bottom line. More people could use more jobs, and that will lead also to a better shopping experience.

Pretty good savings, but only one cashier. So you pay with your time waiting in line to get checked out. Bring your own bags because they won’t give you any bags.

Absolutely love shopping here the prices are excellent you find things there that is authentic and fresh the cashier is nice

Great selection. Fresh produce. Clean aisles. Bring a quarter for a cart. Bring your reusable bags for your purchases. Fair prices.

They have a very different store which is great. Don’t forget to buy strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and blueberries. They all cost less then $10

I always shop at Aldi but I always drive the extra 10 minutes to go to another location than this as it's always bad customer service.mangers should have cameras with (voice) so they'd hear how some employees address customers:).

Great, no frills, low cost grocery store. The have some name brand items but the majority is made up off generic brands. But they are all top notch quality.

Love shopping there. Always eager to check out what they have but hate the long lines. Always see 2 cashiers. Need more.

This was my first time shopping at Aldi. I was very surprised at the nice quality of everything. And they have some awesome deals that really seem like a steal. It's not a full blown grocery store. You have to just be open to shop with whatever they have on hand. The prices overall are really good.
