I highly recommend Dr. Garay as a general surgeon. He repaired a ventral hernia for me and the result has been excellent. I had been putting off the surgery for years because I didn’t want to go through the pain and hassle. To my surprise, the pain was very manageable and the entire process smooth and efficient. Dr. Garay has exceptional bedside manners, is kind, knowledgeable, patient, thorough and has excellent staff. The front desk ladies are very kind, and welcoming. Unfortunately this is not common in our area, so I especially appreciate Maria and Jeannette always being so warm and accommodating from scheduling, to when I call in and have questions, to when I have my appointments. Came in for a consult on hiatal hernia repair surgery and Dr. Garay really took a tremendous amount of time and energy to make sure that I understood the pros and cons of the procedure and could make an informed decision to get it or not. I had my gastric sleeve 6 months ago and I am so thankful I did. My overall health has improved. I am down 90lbs. I no longer have sleep apnea, my autoimmune disease is not attacking me as often, I am off a lot of medications I used to have to take daily. I haven't gotten sick in MONTHS. The dr I work for is extremely happy for me and although he was against the surgery at first he is now complimenting my weight loss and success on my health!
