Great location, and popular for small to medium sized weddings. My daughter wanted an outdoor wedding ceremony and the patio here is perfect for 100 - 125 guests! Also considering they have chairs, tables and bars/band gazebo and even some strings lights in place, it was ‘affordable luxury. ’ Grooms suite was perfectly apart from the bridal area, so we were all able to get ready and do photo shoots here, prior to ceremony and guest arrival. The view is nice from the balcony for guests, and vendors are ‘in the know’, so less to worry about all around. We did ‘the flip’ to sit down reception, while guests were upstairs for cocktails/apps and it was a smooth transition. Pleasantly surprised. Thanks to Julianna for a wonderful event!

What a great venue for a wedding. It was a cold night but the staff was still great! And the wedding went off without a hitch!

Such a beautiful space for a wedding and centrally located for those wanting to be in downtown Austin. Tons of quaint rooms, airy and full of light, such a special venue. I recently photographed a wedding here last month and am completely obsessed. Can't wait to be back here next month for another wedding!

The Allan House was the perfect venue for our intimate wedding celebration! The premises are absolutely breathtaking - the perfect setting for our classic-with-a-modern-twist wedding aesthetic. The venue staff was fantastic to work with - Juliana was quick to answer any questions I had and was very helpful and friendly. The Allan House's preferred vendor list was essentially a wedding planning Bible - they have strong relationships with fantastic vendors at a range of price points to help guide you in planning your event. This venue is also very fairly priced for downtown Austin, and worth every penny! I can't recommend this venue enough!

I was bartending at a wedding at Allan House. It is a picturesque venue that has a fantasticly airy and open quality and still honored its history.

Not horrible, not great. My contract said I’d have a security guard, yet the night of my wedding there wasn’t one. I didn’t meet the on site manager until clean up was happening and I was looking for her before the wedding because I had a question: wanted to know where the signage was for the bridal suite was so that guest would stop coming into the bridal suite for the bathroom. They said they would place that sign when I did my walk through, yet the sign wasn’t there and staff was unavailable the night of my wedding. Also, I didn’t notice during walk through that there would be a fire extinguisher in every one of my photos of walking down the aisle. Poor placement! The setting is gorgeous and we chose this venue due to close proximity of our condo downtown. In retrospect, I wish we held it somewhere else. I feel like they play favorites and for whatever reason, we were not a respected paying customer.

We had our wedding here this year and I could not recommend the Allan House more! It was exactly what we were looking for and was perfect for our 90 person wedding.

We had a great wedding evening at Allan House and all of our guests kept asking… “how did you find this place”.
The place was just gorgeous and made our wedding so much special.
Juliana and her team is super responsive and ensured all of our questions were addressed promptly. Thank you for all your help in the past 12+ months.

What a beautiful venue! It was the storybook wedding of your dreams. Gorgeous windows inside & the wrap around balcony was surrounded by ancient lighted oak trees.where the stars peeked through to show their approval. All was decked out in lace, linen and flowers, The Allan was the perfect venue for the wedding. From the caterer to the flowers & decor the Allan House was her grand self yet again!
The food by 'PEJ' was absolutely delicious, no better choice for an elegant Texas wedding! And the cakes by Paige's Bakehouse, were yet another delight, never more perfect visually or when they melted in your mouth! (And the flavors of the mini cakes were a delight for the senses again!) Seeing the bride ushered in, thru the beautifully lighted oak trees, to the patio with crystal chandeliers above.to lite her way.the patio was a moment to always remember.

All the stairs/steps need work, as does the entire patio floor.but where there's "DJJ Mendez" turning tunes.who can not dance? !

It was a night we will always remember! Made even more perfect, by being held in the grand Allan House.

Had a wonderful time for my friend's wedding. I especially loved the way that the tree perfectly integrated into the outdoor tent. The staff quickly and professionally switched the space over during cocktail hour. We also had authentic food for the reception, so it seems they allow for personal caterers.

My husband and I started our venue search in the middle of Covid - so many venues were booking quickly due to couples rescheduling to 2021, and others were closing down due to not having business in 2020. We were so lucky to be able to snag a date at The Allan House. Julianna was able to host a virtual tour with us and my parents and then show us around in person after. She was so on top of providing answers to any questions we had and keeping in touch regarding dates we were interested in. The venue has the charm of a historic venue, but you're in the heart of downtown Austin, which we both really wanted. We also liked that we could use a caterer of our choice. The venue is BEAUTIFUL with the large oak trees and wraparound porch. We could not have asked for more, and the team was all-star on top of it all.

The most dreamy downtown Austin wedding venue! We were married here in early December 2021 and had the most perfect day. Juliana helped with every question we had, the space was exactly what we imagined, and our guests couldn't stop talking about how magical everything was. With the December booking, we received the "Winter Tent" free of charge and it was perfectly temperature controlled. We had 150 guests and they all fit with some room to spare. This venue is easy to access from any hotel downtown and has ample parking included if needed at a nearby lot. Highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a central Austin location without the crazy downtown pricing. 10/10!

My wife and I were married here a few weeks ago, and we are absolutely in love with the venue. In the winter months, they have an outdoor tent that is temperature-controlled and enormous with chandeliers and string lights. It was perfect both for the ceremony and for the reception.

When searching for wedding venues, my husband and made plans to tour some locations to help us decide where we wanted to go (pre-pandemic). Once we arrived, walked around, and talked to Julianna (wedding planning binder in hand) we just loved the place. It was our first stop and nothing beat it!

Settling on a date, and understanding the plethora of rentals included (tables and chairs for 150+ guests) just made the decision that much easier! Juliana was so warm and kind, and worked seamlessly with our coordinator (Mockingbird Lane Events-truly another amazing wedding must-have!) When we requested an additional half-hour for our catering staff, the transaction was quick and reasonable.

Getting married during a global pandemic is sure to cause some headaches, but there was never any issues with communication with Juliana and ensuring we moved forward. My father even contacted her over a year ahead of time to help with research for hotels since majority of our guests were from out of town. She provided a list and professional suggestions about what was worth our time and energy.

The Allan House was absolutely perfect for our quiet, classic yet laid back style of wedding. This backdrop made all of our guests look even more stunning, and the tree lit up at night was gorgeous. Highly suggest The Allan House. You can't go wrong with a beautiful and historic home for your weddings or party needs!

I would give The Allan House 4.5 stars. It is a beautiful venue in downtown Austin. Parking is easy for a smaller wedding. The outdoor courtyard and beautiful overhanging tree is beautiful for a wedding. There is a bridal suite on the main floor, and a groom's suite in the basement. 1/4 star knocked off because the bridal suite was not the best for makeup application. I think most brides get ready in another location, but since all of my bridesmaids were traveling into town I wanted us all in the same place and not have to lug our things across town. The bridal suite consists of a bathroom, couch/seating area and what looks to be a dining area near the front. The HMUA found that the only room with good light was the front dining room, which made it so that guests could see us all getting ready upon entering.

The price does include many rentals of which we used bistro tables for cocktail hour, and the round tables and matching chairs for the ceremony and reception. It is a popular venue in Austin, so many of our vendors were already familiar with the place which made things run smoothly.

I knock off another 1/4 star rating due to price. I booked the Allan House after cancelling my overseas wedding. There was a great discount for a few months, and we decided to book. There was a second wave happening in Austin, so we decided to postpone by a few months. While they were easy to work with, they were also quick to add additional charges on top of the deposit already paid to reschedule. An additional charge for postponing during a global pandemic? I would have hoped they would be more flexible to people's need to postpone due to a rise in cases.

The Allan House is absolutely stunning. Inside and out, this place is perfect. Julianna the venue manager is the best! She has got running that place down to a science and will make sure all clients have a seamless event.

I have had the opportunity to work here on several occasions and it is always a pleasure. Can't recommend them enough.

We had our wedding and reception here, and we absolutely loved it! Great atmosphere, and all the staff were very helpful and accommodating. Many of our guests have said it was a "magical" venue and we couldn't agree more! Thank you Allan House!
